Oh My God!

I have been searching for a pair of black shoes of mine for about a week. I thought I must have left them in the car, until miraculously one appeared on the back doorstep. The other one is still missing, methinks, my little shoemonster Pip has taken it under the house, where I think one of my husband's slippers lives. I don't really have the inclination to be wanting to climb under the house, so I think I'll have to write that shoe off to experience. Fortunaely it wasn't an expensive pair.

 It's funny! Maybe not for you but I'm sure you're looking back now laughing...I know that feeling of sheer dread. Mazza's favourite party trick is finding one of our bathroom doors open, grabbing the end of the toilet roll and bolting! He is quite skilled he can unravel a whole roll without breaking it

My greatest fear is the day Mazza gets enough strength in his hind legs to jump his barricade...it will be all over! Goodbye house!

How was your second puppy preschool Rainey?

Oh yeah I was nervous-laughing when I opened the door to him, thinking OMG this could be a very expensive lesson. Turns out it wasn't at all! Actually regarding the shoe issues, he's pretty good when we are home... you see, he does the wrong thing and grabs a shoe, but instead of growling at him I just call out for him to bring it to me and he gives straight up. That seems to work well and he doesn't chew them he just thinks he's doing us a favour now, "thought your feet were cold, here put this on".

Puppy preschool went exceptionally well. He was focusing on us more than the other dogs this time and did his routines on cue each time, the trainer was really pleased to see that we'd caught up nicely. He was doing his drops perfectly and he hadn't learnt them at all during the first lesson. I also took him for a walk to the park last night after the 'surprise golf ball party' house warming fiasco and he was brilliant. The recalls were working just nicely, apart from that he doesn't stop when he gets to me so I have to get the hell out of the way.

Loose lead walking is also coming along great too!

How did Mazza go last night as well? And the toilet roll trick reminds me of that TV ad. Hehehe.

Albert says

'Scud, you are a disgrace to the Labrador name - all that stuff and you didn't destroy ANYTHING??????? ;) What is wrong with you man??!! Ok, now next time you do this, make sure that you EAT THE SHOES! All the way down to the sole - I'm telling you, it's the best fun! And they can't get mad at you cause it's their fault the shoe was where you could get it. :) Cakes of soap are fun too... and ski goggles - if they happen to leave them in a bag on the floor... go for it!! I haven't tried wiring either - good idea to stay away from that stuff.

But shoes.... you had shoes at your disposal and you did nothing.... :D ;) ;) (I guess they weren't Colorados... mmm leather...)

He walks away muttering things about well behaved puppies...

:) I'm so glad he didn't hurt himself on his golfball holiday!

if that was my sisters lab now almost 2 you wouldn't have anything to rest your head on.....turner loves pillows...well the contents of pillows....including the ones on the couch....when he was about 6 months old he completely trashed there house in about 3 hours...he was locked in the laundry while they went shopping, the laundry has a sliding door and he got loose....he made a memorable mess...but some how survived it.

When my hubby forgot to latch the back sliding door one day and i came home 12 hours later to find my two babies at the front door i felt physically sick.

I really wanted to vomit, that was before i saw the damage.

Hunta - not Mitch, had trashed the place, well adn truly.

Shoes, picture frames, pot porri - the big chunky stuff, um place mats EVERYTHING was fair game.

Boy did my hubby get a serve.

I cleaned it up because he would have gone spare.

It is the worst feeling.

At least i know Mitch will go to bed an dsleep, hunts will destroy and daire, well not sure yet.
