Dog_Horse_Girl
We're mixing the meat and vegies in together, origally I did it about 50/50 but this lot I've made less vegies and more meat, to see if that will get her to eat it. I've been putting a bit of dry food in with it as well this week to see if that will encourage her. Maybe it is too much vegies that's the problem?? Maybe I should just start again... plain meat and then gradually add in vegies two or three times a week, but smaller quantities. Way too much plant content I'm afraid. My dogs get veg a couple of times a week maximum. And just a small spoonful at that. STOP feeding dry food b/c that doesn't help IMO. Reduce the "meat" content but don't reduce the meaty bone content. RMBs are preferable to minced meats for me...and definitely human grade minced meats except the chicken mince at Lenards is generally good quality (it's frames minced and no preservatives). I don't do "patties" either. Just meaty bones; offal; minced meats; veg/fruit slop; yoghurt; sardines; egg. Not all together obviously. And not every meal, again obviously. This is what they would eat over a month or so.
JeffnCel
Ok I will cut out the dry food (was told it could help... I'm desperate for advice) I wasn't keen on re-introducing it, but was concerned she wasn't eating. I will go back to square one and do just meat, I am finding that I am mainly feeding her with RMB's because at least she eats them, and wiggles to get them, whereas with the meat/veg mix, she doesn't even seem excited when I take it out to her. With the "vegie slop" what do you put in it if it's fed on it's own?? I tried that with Buffy last week, just vegies an egg a bit of yoghurt and the look she gave me was like "after you..." Guest Tiggy
My Staffords always have stinky farts. I don't know if it's the BARF diet or the breed.
Seita
I always mix my veggie slop with sardines and usually try to push it as long as possible between meals so shes nice and hungry. So I might feed her RMB one morning and then not feed her again until the following evening and then give her the veggies and sardines. Also I find that if I only feed a small amount she tends to eat it. At the moment I give maybe 4-6 tablespoons of veggie mix with half a tin of sardines and she gets that around 4 times a week and has had no probs eating that! Also, when I switched over to BARF, my girl refused to eat veggies, so she would only get veggies once a week to start with but she would only eat them like 3 days after I first tried to feed them and when she was obviously hungry and hadn't been fed anything else! She doesn't do it as often now, thankfully!

I don't feed veg slop on its own. It's given about twice a week at most...with RMB and sometimes with yoghurt or offal as well. Some people do mix it with minced meat but I don't in preference to leaving the slop as just slop. Sorry if my earlier post confused you, b/c what I meant was the slop is not mixed with any other food but is served with other food. HTH. ;) BTW - nothing at all wrong with the diet being mostly RMBs...I only give minced meats b/c decent bones are very expensive here and also very hard to find. Everywhere else we've lived, the dogs have got mostly RMBs and rarely did they get minced meats b/c I don't think it's necessary.

MonElite
Try less veg stuff inthe mix, or add a bit of chicken stock into the mix to make it a bit more tasty. Mine two struggle with the mix as well, I usually put something tasty into it as well, such as cheese, or sardines, or some of my leftovers. Gas - often the lamb ribs will cause this but in genenral BARF is a lot less gassy than the dried food. If I ever feed mine dried food I might as well evacuate the house its impossible to stay inside.
