Cazz
How will he cope? Will he look at other dogs and be scared of rejection? What sort of accomodations will I have to make for him?
dogbesotted
he will get on with life and make the most of every minute and not waste a moment comparing the number of legs he has with others. Once healed he will be fine. H
percyk
dont know that dogs can count maybe other dogs would recognise something different in his gait and some might be wary but i dont think hes gonna be bullied just for being a three legger i know some dogs bark at people on crutches or who have a limp or wear a hat or whatever so im not discounting anything but i doubt ur dog would have an image problem most do really well
Her Majesty Dogmad
3 legged dogs are amazing, have you ever seen the dog in the USA with only 2 legs??? Perfectly happy dog!!! I should just add that they may have a little difficulty with slippery surfaces, may depend on which leg. Edited October 3, 2007 by dogmad
