leeosu
Hi Does anyone have any idea how much it usually costs for a dog to have a skin biopsy done for Demodecti mange? Our poor baby has had treatment for mange for a couple of months and is now going for his biopsy today to see if the treatment was able to get rid of the mites.Fingers crossed!!! Thanks any information would be great. Lee
rugerfly
ITs usually just a skin scraping that they do then and there and shouldnt cost anything at all.
sandgrubber
Scrapings are cheap. I had a client who took her dog into Murdoch Vet School for a biopsy and ended out with a $1500 bill, and a dog with lots of stitches here and there. They didn't find anything. Lee If a mite is to be killed i have heard that a special cortisiod can be injected under the skin @ 1ml or 2ml(size depends amount) & thats all check with a good vet.
