RL1
I'm looking to try one more trainer and think i will give "The Pawman" a try. Has anyone here dealt with him and if so what did you think . My boy still has some dog to dog aggression and i still don't have total control of him when we're out in public. I tried Dog Tech in the past but in my opinion that was a waste and i wanted to try group training, however the instructors wouldn't allow my boy to take part with the other dogs. I'd be happy to hear any other recommendations too.

trifecta
I knew the Pawman when he was in Canberra. He is an excellent dog handler, especially with agression issues, & moreover, he is himself, very personable. Being a trainer of Military Police Dog handler instructors he is adept at teaching. He also has heaps of experience with pet dogs & their owners, often being called upon by my vet to help clients with behavioural problems.
Mystiqview
Have had dealings with him in the past too.. Thoroughly knowledgeable. Think he is now the chief trainer of the dogs out at Amberley Air base.

RL1
I've had people PM me and all have recommended the same two trainers so that's a good sign. I've decided to go with The Pawman and have made the appointment. It's not for 3 weeks, but i'll let you all know what i thought and how it went. Thanks for all the PM's and advice. RL1
I've had the appointment and unfortunately it wasn't good news at all. I have some tough decisions to make now. Make's me mad to think this all relates back to the original owner's mistreatment. How am i meant to let go of a dog that thinks the world of me and trusts me........ Sorry to hear that - just remember if you ever need to vent there are lots of people here willing to listen - and some who can hopefully help as well. I can only imagine how mad you are at the previous owner, and I do not envy you the hard decisions you have to make...

Erny
... i'm not making any quick decisions on this. I still have the details of the one you sent through before. RL01 ..... whichever way this goes, know that you are going about things the right way, and sensibly so. Whichever the outcome, support for you is here. Now especially is one of those times I wish I had that magic wand that many people think trainers have ....... Good luck. As per my PM to you, if it were me, I'd go for the second opinion too. Just to be a sure as one can possibly be. But whatever you decide ........................................ :D Edited October 21, 2007 by Erny

RL1
Can someone please tell me exactly how far K9 Force is located from Brisbane. Seems my last resort may involve a trip down. I haven't decided yet but i'm thinking about it, but have no idea what travel time is involved. I've never travelled outside of Queensland. Approx 45 minutes to an hour from Parramatta according to his website. I think to drive down it takes about 16 hours? AFAIK Steve can cater from people coming from other states and can organise accomodation for you, I'd email him and have a chat
