I love dribbly dogs
Hi there, I'm new-ish I have a 6 yr old Saint Bernard and a 3 yr old Basset Hound, both de-sexed so can't show either But.... I was wondering if you can enter desexed dogs in endurance competitions or anything? Also, getting a Saint puppy in the next year or two (will keep him entire) and was wondering what sort of competitions I could enter him in for strength or speed or what? I'm pretty much a virgin when it comes to showing etc so any advice is appreciated. Oh and I'm in the ACT.
Staranais
I think you can enter desexed dogs in endurance. You can definately enter them in obedience and agility, and I think in weight pull as well. If you want to test your dog's strength, weight pull could be the way to go. Just don't start any proper training till he's fully mature, you don't want to hurt his joints.
I love dribbly dogs
Don't suppose anyone knows of shows in the Canberra area where you can enter de-sexed dogs? Also, I was wondering if I can take my dogs to Canberra shows to watch and meet people even if we're not entering and my girls are desexed..
