mypets
Toby is now 4.5 month. He's been teething for a little while but over the weekend his back gums have been bleeding....enough that there is blood on everything. This morning he was walking around and I can see blood on his tongue as he plays. I can't ever remember this happening with my other dogs although it has been nearly 15 years since we last had a puppy. Is this common?
Poodle wrangler
Have you had a really good look in his mouth for bits of stick, splintered bone etc. that could be causing this? I never noticed my pup's gums bleeding with teething.
Nova'sMum
I'm experiencing the same thing with my 19wko Cavie pup. He stole a nice white garment from my clothes horse and when I retrieved it was a lovely mottled red. Also his tug toys and soft toys have spots of blood on them. Over the weekend my daughter found 3 puppy teeth under his mat, a canine and molars. I guess this is normal but would also like to know more. Hope this helps. DJ'sMum
DJ was the same, just make sure you're puppy doesnt chew on anything too hard when their teeth fall out as this will increase the bleeding. Giving the puppy ice also helps with the swelling... hope this helps
