Ptolomy
Have to ask - why don't you think it works as well on your Aussie?? I have been looking at them on the net - anybody recommend what size is best to get for a medium sized dog?
Baby Dragon
I use it on my two cats and my goldie and I LOVE it. It's not as good though for my aussie shepherd. Did your cats mind it? I think that one of my cats will be fine.. he's very placid. But the other cat is VERY flighty (she was a rescue) and she has sharp claws.. lol... and yep, she's the one that sheds the most. To be honest they like it more than the usual brushes. They both hate being groomed but I would say they don't mind the furminator (thank dog or rather thank cat lol). Both of my cats shed a lot and furminator decreases it by about 80% if I do it every two weeks or every week when it's really hot.
wagsalot
Ive got a furminator for our long haired cat. If I can get her to sit still long enough and not attack me, it does seem to work well. Just be careful you don't use it over the same spot too much. dogcop
Does this work on short, smooth coated dogs like a mini foxie?! I've been using a rubber brush like the zoom groom, but still find I have to brush her every day to cut down the amount of hair all over the place. My baby is shedding heaps at the moment!! I use them on staffies, labs, pugs with excellent results. I also have my eye on the cat across the road will be trying the small blue one it soon. will let you know how it goes. My mind is filling with the image of you holding the furminator and stalking the cat!!!
