ILuvAmstaffs
I'm trying to find a vet that will titre test in the Northern Suburbs or Northern Beaches area. So far I have phoned a few & all insisted that I get the yearly boosted rather than titre test... If anyone knows a good vet in these areas, can you you please either post or PM me their details. Thanks!
Clyde
Hi there, I'm in the Northern Beaches too I can't recommend a local vet but I go to Gladesville Vets who have the new vaccines which are done every three years only. I had my guys done the other day. For titre testing perhaps try that vet on Pittwater Rd in Newport? The one that is just being renovated in to a fairly large building. I believe they are a larger clinic. Or try Max Zuber at Gladesville, he is fantastic!
ILuvAmstaffs
Thanx Dru. Tried Newport but he wasn't even sure if his lab did titre tests.... Will look up Max Zuber & give him a call tomorrow.

Gomez the Norfolk
We go to the North Shore Veterinary Hospital in Crow's Nest (9436 4884) and are very happy with them, but not sure about your specific question - they are open 24 hours... daccies
I have a great vet Pittwater animal hospital 9913 7979 - they're pittwater road opposite Warriewood Shopping centre. Not having realised about this vaccination every 3 years until it was bought up here recently, I don't know whether they do this or the titre test. Was going to ask them though as think that's the way I'm going to go with my dog. Do post and let us know how you get on.
CavsRcute
Amanda Paul at Ku Ring-Gai vet hospital found out about the titre testing for me. She is only there on Thursday afternoon. Maybe Phillip Brain at Allambie Vets

The person that answered went to talk to a vet & they said that even if my dog did have a reaction to his 16week vax, that it would be unlikely to happen again & a vet would call me about it. But no one did. I will chase them up today & explain more about why I want the titre test rather than the vaccination. It really seems like most evts would rather do the yearly booster than look for other alternatives.
~Anne~
It really seems like most evts would rather do the yearly booster than look for other alternatives. I think this is becuase of the difficulty in finding a lab that does titre testing. Previously, the bloods had to be sent to the US but I am lead to believe that a lab in WA now does it? I think Sidoney has it doen with her dogs. PM her perhaps to check.
ILuvAmstaffs
Thanks guys. I just recieved a reply from North Shore Veterinary Hospital & they said that a few of their clients opt to Titre test & it's no problem. Gomez the Norfolk
Oh good! I really like them, everyone I have seen there seems very knowledgeable and the staff is great - plus the fact that they are the 24 hour hospital AND the pound for the area has basically all bases covered...
