Mushaka
Just a quickie.. my new rescue came to me with all kinds of little illnesses and issues. We have covered all of these except the mites. They have gone on to all the dogs now,and while im treating it with vet prescribed ointments and regular cleans,i have an "all in" wth the 4mth old puppy. one of her ears has become so sensitve i can hardly get near it. She squeals the minute i get to that side, and attacks me! Ive actually never had a "big dog" (shes an Amstaff) carry on like this, they are,or in my experience normally very patient with this kind of thing. Can someone give me some advice on how they handle this,as in all my years i havent come across it before! Thanx all

Can someone give me some advice on how they handle this,as in all my years i havent come across it before! Thanx all I had huge problems with ear mites (with my cats and dogs). I stared using Advocate (it's a spot on). Since you apply it on their neck and not ears it helps a lot esp if your animals get sick of having stuff in their ears. However I did find that with serious ear mites Advocate didn't manage to totally cure it (decreased it by about 80%) so once or twice I did put a drop of it in their ears and the rest on the neck. That solved the problem for ever. (I get it from pricelesspets.com.au)

Poodle wrangler
If one of my dogs was misbehaving in this way, I'd muzzle them (soft muzzle).
