Guest
if anyone is interested in watching the Canine Handler Biathalon it's being held on the 8th of September at the Queensland Police Service Academy - as part of the Qld Police Games starts at 7am and will have dogs competing from Police Corrective services Royal Air Force Army Protective services Customs Quarantine Inspection service It will be free for spectators and BBQ food will be available for sale. It should be an amazing day of doggie/handler expertise ... I'm hoping to go down to watch the mornings events. The Police Academy is at Oxley - Rudd St ... hope to see lots of DoL'ers there ... they expect the day to close at about 4pm. The afternoon will have an ironman event - eat a cold pie, drink a hot drink .. that kinda thing serious 'doggie' stuff will be in the morning. to see the web page with all the details visit - police site

Guest
I went along there were some really beautiful german shepherds belonging to the Qld police, and the Army had some impressive Malonois (sp?) the Labs that were there were more interested in just running and running but 'some' did manage the agility portion of the course.. they all did really well in the endurance portion ... I was really impressed with the fitness of the handlers too
