Vet's All Natural

Recommended Posts

I won the raffle at dog club on Monday night, and it was a good sized sample of Dr Bruce's Vets All Natural - it's got grains, kelp, garlic etc and you soak it in water, then add it to red meat to make a balanced barf diet. Smells great! Has anybody used this for any length of time, how have you found it? It may claim to be balanced, but if that's all a dog gets, they'd have pretty poxy teeth after a while. I can't imagine my dogs not getting a big raw bone as part of their daily tucker.

I've tried it but it gives my Staffords smelly bums :) ! I think it's the grains that do it. I stick to a grain free BARF/Raw diet now.

Audrey, the product is designed to be fed as part of a BARF diet. Bruce Syme strongly advocates the feeding of raw meaty bones. I find it very useful when I haven't the time to pulp vegetables. Tiggy, sounds like your dogs could benefit with a little natural yoghurt!

WDL , I have used it for a few years now and I find it great and my dogs love it !!!! I prepare it each night then leave it in the cupboard to soak and feed it to my dogs the next afternoon over fresh chicken hips and necks and a little offal. It really is good stuff ! Sometimes I might even ad a few extra juiced raw vegies to it too.

Thanks for the heads up, hadn't really read too much about it and didn't know much about Bruce Syme, didn't know it was meant to go with bones. Not sure if I'll continue with it after the sample is gone, for the past 15 years my dogs have lived long and well on a diet of a bit of premium dry food for breakfast and a big raw meaty bone in the evening, so may end up just continuing with that. If it ain't broke, don't fix it, eh? :)

I have been using it and love it but also feed dog biscuits. I went to a talk he did not long ago also, he recommends barf diet and naturally bones whether feeding the vets all natural or not. He said this product is made for those wanting to feed barf who can't or don't want to do all the preparation themselves. if you look at the website there is loads of information

I have been feeding VAN to my dogs for quite a while now and they are doing really well on it.

I mix it with minced raw chicken frames, sardines, yoghurt, eggs, etc. and it takes the place of having to prepare the fresh veges.

I also feed them raw chicken necks, lamb flaps and they have liver, heart & kidney mixed in every so often.

They have never been so healthy and happy - the poos are not smelly and are small!

The BIG noticeable thing I found from feeding them VAN +RAN was that my senior citizen boy, who used to be Mr.Smelly regardless of how many times I washed him and suffered with itchy skin, totally changed into an itchfree happy dog that is now safe to touch ie. no more doggy smell!!!

Prior to feeding VAN I used to feed them all a good quality premium dry dog food plus raw chicken necks, etc. - I now realise that it was the highly processed dry food that was not agreeing with my guys!!

I really do recommend VAN especially when you work and don't have the time to spend preparing raw veges!
