alpinebase evita
i just wanted to know what people thought of schutzhund. my opion is that it is a very miss understood and that people think its telling the dog to bite people but it teaches them to bite the sleave and also people play tug is that teaching it to bite any thing that moves? no its not. but thats my opion what yours? :D and also they have to be very well trainded to pass because if they bite the sleave with out command to many time they get thrown out of the trail. As far as I know, dogs trained in schutzhund in Victoria have to be classified as dangerous dogs.
RottnBullies
My girl and I are enjoying It emensly I can see a change In her behaviour already, and It's all good! I really love watching the Rotty's work , unfortunately no Dobes there, as they would be awesome to watch too! It's a shame It's not understood as It's meant to be, but hopefully that will change, As far as I see It, any dog which excells Is this sport, Is a very well balanced, obediant, and confident companion I couldn't ask for more

alpinebase evita
the sport is really good and all but there aint many new people. the nationals turn out for this year was poor. still i like watching it. i think there was like 10 or less people in the trials! i just wish that it was much more out there and people new about it. i think that im the only one my age doing this sport. if any one is interested go to this web site i think some one might have said it but ill say it again: http://www.sportdogaustralia.com/ and this is the queensland one: http://www.bsdc.sportdogaustralia.com Edited August 23, 2007 by alpine
Veanna
I think Schutzhund is an amazing sport. I love watching videos of it, the connection between the dog and his/her handler and the power of that dog to be so well controlled. I am in awe when I watch a good dog and handler work together. I have never seen training or competitions in real life though. Does anyone know if there is a club is South Australia? I have been doing searches on the net but haven't had much luck.
