Choppa Chop
Yes , a tad different but thought why start 2 different posts OK , will do the flea's first . We have suddenly been absolutely bombarded with them !! Have not had a flea problem since moving here to the new place 6 months ago .Now , last night I had TWO jump on me whilst sitting on the lounge , the kidlet has numerous bites ( and he's allergic to the rotten little suckers) and Chop is scratching like mad . I have to be extremely careful what I use on or around Chop as he reacts to most flea products , he comes up in hives . So before I attack him with a vengance , I want to get rid of them everywhere else as well . So any idea's for a decent bombing expedition ? And also that doesn't cost an arm and a leg ? Now , nails . Chops need doing . My old trusty ( probably from the dark ages ) set of clippers finaly died I have not ben able to find a pair remotely like them anywhere . They were rubber handled , ergo..ergonom...oh kind to your hands or something shaped with a 'guard' type thing to apparently stop you from hurting your dog ( well I never did any damage lol ) . They wern't ovely big either . They actually reminded me a bit of pliers ? So I'm after reccomendations on 'safe' new sets . Thanks guys
Vehs
Can't actually help you with the flea issue, but with regards to the nails - you haven't been looking hard enough! You can find nail clippers like this in basically every pet store and even at the pet section in Big W - this picture is from petnetwork.com.au Edited August 20, 2007 by Vehs
Ons
Mortein flea bombs were really good when I was innundated with fleas a couple of years ago Just from the supermarket follow instructions as per the packet from memory you had to leave the house for 2 - 3 hours after, i'd probably leave for longer than that and do it on a fine day so you can open all the windows when you get home again
Her Majesty Dogmad
Yes, I had a flea prob at one time, did the bomb and I also bought the flea powder and sprinkled it all over the car and in the garden. Added some garlic to the dogs food as well and changed my spot-on flea treatment to Advantage and all of that fixed the problem.
