stonecutter
I was thinking lots of grasses and stuff would be ideal and ground covering daisy plants. I have no idea what they are called. Told you i am hopeless  I am making a list of plants not to put in so will put oleander on it. Steer clear of pennisetum (commonly called Foxtail) - the grass heads get caught in coats - my poor Ziva manged to get a seed head stuck down her ear canal
perrin
Oh wow. Scrolling through DOL and this thread was at the top. Gave me a scare because i couldn't remember starting a thread about gardening lately. Then i looked and it was from 07. A bit though as we lost our kelpie a few years ago to a snake bite. Since i'm here i'll update some. We ended up going native with a pond for our current dog in the front yard. And a smaller pond for our fish in the back. Esky the husky
Have a look in your library. I found a great book in mine about 'dogscaping' ( I think that may have been the title) It was a little too ambitious though since I rent, so I resisted the urge to borrow it
OSoSwift
Look for the book Poisonous2pets. It is written by a Nicole someone - very very handy when planning gardens around pets :)
