I don;t want to return it, i was wondering if you could wet it for my gsd pup

Note that if a product uses citric acid as a preservative it should not be moistened prior to feeding (raises the risk of bloat in large breed dogs).

thanks so much for all your replies.

I currently have a bag of both nutro and EP small breed puppy . but she does not like either much , although wetting the food does tend to get her to eat a little more .

I think I will have to go the " tough love " option ...... although I do train her using treats .... can I still use these do you think ? She also loves chomping on chicken necks and had a really good go at a lamb rib yesterday ! Should I stop the bones until she learns to eat her dry or maybe just give her one a week ?

The kids are really good about not feeding her from the table so she should no be getting treats from any other source .

I don't have puppies, but it may still apply. My dogs would not touch dried food and I had given up even buying it. In another thread on Supercoat and how it was now virtually rubbish, a poster mentioned feeding her cat Optimum. As my cat was looking a bit "scraggy" at the time, I bought some. She loved it and now looks gorgeous. I then decided to try some dog Optimum and my dogs just love that too. I sometimes give it to them as a treat if they are hanging around looking as though they haven't had a meal for a week :rofl:

Yup...if you want her to learn to eat her kibble...then you have to cut off all her other food and treats - she could well be eating enough to keep herself satisified thru threats and bones and necks...and so not wanting the kibble because she's not hungry or because she's thinking of what else she could con out of you.
