Guest Piximatosis
If an obedience trial is run by, say, the Australian Shepherd Club of NSW... can anyone enter?? Or is it only open to Aussie Shepherds? I'm pretty sure I know the answer but it could be a pretty embarrassing stuff up if my guess is wrong
KitKat
As far as i know it means it's just being run by the club unless it's listed as a breed specialty So check out that angle on the info - if it doesn't say that go a head and enter
Tassie
Yep - could be either. The schedule will (should!) say whether it's Open (i.e. open to all ANKC registered dogs) or Restricted to Breed. If it doesn't, I'd ring the Club/Trial Secretary and ask.
leopuppy04
It depends.... For example - the Dally club is running a trial in Vic later this month and it is an "All breeds" event But then I went to a Working dog club obedience trial and that was "Restricted to group" Basically there are 3 types of trials - an "All Breeds" "Restricted to group" or "Restricted to breed" This will say, either in the gazette or the website where they are listed. RTG means that the dogs of the same group (gundogs, working etc) can enter - associates I believe are exempt. RTB means only the breed can enter Picking on the ASCNSW are we??? Guest Piximatosis
This one doesn't say, I'm going off this http://www.dogsnsw.org.au/util/doc.jsp?did=116 Only joined Dogs NSW yesterday though so don't have official magazines or anything that I'm reading from! And yeah, I'm picking on ASCNSW because Aussie Shepherds are stupid dogs and nobody likes them anyway.
