Firestone Posted July 23, 2007 Share Posted July 23, 2007 My son had to have his darling little heeler puppy PTS on Friday. Emmy was attacked by a large dog on the on lead beach in Darwin. My son and his partner are heartbroken. He was sobbing as he explained to me what happened and it was pretty graphic to say the least. I hope that something can be done to prevent someone else's pet from suffering the same fate, it is a truly horrific way to lose a loved pet and I believe, something you will never truly get over. We take ours to an off leash part of our local beach regularly and I worry about them getting mauled by a bigger dog.
