deltron
I'm having issues with my stubborn little puppy. I'm trying to get him to pee outside and he is NOT impressed. He much prefers to pee inside, and will hold on for as long as it takes. I'm wondering if the dog attractant sprays work?? http://www.petsupersavers.com.au/?page=139&item=613 http://www.petsupersavers.com.au/?page=139&item=1930 I'm thinking perhaps these might provide a bit more motivation for him to pee outside. Anyone had any success with these?

Anyone had any success with these? Um... not sure about those... but I've heard good things about the 'pee post'. You can find these on Ebay usually. ETA- actually, I HAVE tried the second one!!! I paper trained Tahni using this. It does attract the dog, but she seemed more interested in ripping up the yummy smelling newspaper. Maybe it will work better outside? sas
All it does is attract the dog to a spot it doesn't make the dog toilet there.
LittleMiss
What helped me with Tesha was: Instead of flushing poop when she had an accident inside, I took it outside and put it in the corner of the yard (Her toilet spot) It sounds gross but after there got to be a couple of days worth there she started just going there when she was outside and now that she's grown she won't go inside at all. on top of that - she doesn't just 'go' anywhere... she does her business in a spot tucked away from us and the house!
