piper
My effort for tonight. I decided to start fidling and playing with adjustments that I don't normally touch. I used the channel mixer to change the colouring of the picture and then stuffed around with applying filters. I haven't added a lighting effect before and had fun trying out the different lights and moving them around, they can really change the look of a picture. 2tollers
Harminee how did you do the background on this? Is it burned? Little Dance looks cute.
~Harminee~
Hi 2Tollers nope its not burned I duplicated the background and colourised it ( greygreen tones) took out the top layer so that the true colours of dance came through (Layer 2) Faded the colourised layer ( layer 1) to about 45% then darkened it till I got the desired effect.. Merged then added the frame..

~Harminee~
Im sorry it sounds so confusing 2tollers, if you "darken" a picture you are doing the same thing as "burning" but you are able to maintain the outline and content more evenly. By colourising it to one colour ( ie greyscale) and then darken the colourised picture you still maintain the origional content, but gives it a new dimension. So in essence you are doing the same steps as if you were doing the colour select with the greyscale background, you have just added a darkening step to it... at work at the moment will do smoe more pictures later Edited July 26, 2007 by ~Harminee~
Vickie
I thought I had better have a go at the Dally...since I did put it up: In hindsight, it was a bad pic to put up as I have no idea who owns the dog and cannot share all these wonderful creations with them. They are all great, I think Harminee's cup one has to be my favourite.

2tollers
It's only confusing if you have no idea what you're doing. I'll get there eventually. Your dally looks great too Vicki. I'll have a go at him/her later.
