I am so loving this thread. There is some really fantastic work here. I just love the fact we can all share knowledge.

Well, I've been playing around a bit and finally learn how to do a nice background instead of leaving it plain :)

:o Very nice! I don't know how you do so well around all of that fur. I get too impatient with it, lol. Although I have found that using the quick mask with a soft edge brush gives a reasonable result without too much fuss.

Oooh very nice! SO do share, were did you find the lovely backgrounds??

Also anyone know of any good places to download brushes and gradients etc for PS7? I kep doing searches but am not having much luck :)

With Nico's background, I deleted as much of the origional background as i could without digging into the "hairdo" too much.

Then I got the eyedropper and selected part of the colour that was within the tail section at the edge and bobs your uncle you have a background that blends with the edges so to speak.

Mind you if you have a fairly good quality shot ( JAG sent me an origional) its a lit easier as you use the + key near the number pad to enlarg the picture till its almost pixilated then delte from there..

It takes a bit of practice..
