Jack@sandysmum
It is nearly Jack's first birthday (30/6) and I am after some suggestions of food I can give him to celebrate. In another post I note that someone gave their boy a small piece of choccy cake as well as some other things. Is a small piece of chocolate cake ok, or is it a definite no, no? SoL
I wouldn't. Give him a bone or some liver or something. A new toy perhaps?
Jack@sandysmum
I wanted to give him something other than the normal bones, chicken necks, carcasses etc. The toy sounds like a great idea!
tramissa
Moo turns 10 on the 26th and we're having a doggy party. The dogs are getting carrot cake with no icing (no nut cake too). Just a small piece each. We'll eat the rest of the cake (with icing).
Bubitty
I would steer clear of chocolate in any form (I am pretty paranoid about choccy). Hows about roast lamb? Mine ADORES roast lamb because it smells stronger than other meat. Roast him a nice lean piece if you dont want him consuming too much fat! Or marinate some chicken breasts with a bit of soy and sugar and grilled it until its golden. Or coat some chicken breast in egg, breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese and bake it in oven until crisp. Or how about sear him a nice steak, chop into bite size pieces and serve it with some steamed veggies (my boy got this on valentines day). If you narrow down what you want to give him I can give you even more ideas!

poodlefan
Big Ted will be 10 in August. He'll be getting a vanilla icecream cake (one of those small cups probably).. maybe with liver sprinkles. Ted loves icecream.
BC
A nice big homemade mince pie with gravy (no onions of course) and a candle smack bang in the middle
wagsalot
I wouldn't give any chocolate cake to the dog. For Riley's birthday earlier on in the year we bought a icecream cake and he had a bit of that. He loved it. Even the cat got a piece Edited June 19, 2007 by wagsalot
