Akira Ate A Toy.... Will He Be Ok?

As the title says i found out that Akira ate a latex toy, or half of it anyway.

it looks like he has nibbled bits off, and I can't find any so i assume he ate them. Is there anything I need to look out for?

Hi happy/grl,

How big was the toy, and how much do you think Akira may have eaten, and how old is the pup? Mine ate a stuffed toys ear before I noticed, and it was quite obvious when it passed thru.

Pups generally chew everything into tiny bits and they pass thru and are evacuated quite easily. You'll need to keep an eye on the pup for any strange behaviour, something like he/she seems uncomfortable, and particularly if the pup gets bloated and passes nothing, its time for a quick trip to the vets.

Just a quick tip, don't ever give them plastic toys (some are toxic), and if you give them stuffed toys please make sure that the plastic eyes and noses are cut out. They are attached to the toy with nasty metal locknuts. The spikes on the end of the hard plastic will rip their insides to shreds.

It should just pass through, but as Garloch said, keep an eye on him and make sure he is actually going to the toilet.

Also, change the toys you are giving him. Try a kong or something similar he cannot rip into bits.
