Oh no!

Forget the rosettes and go for the English Saddle! (next time) :(

Only a bit more work and muuuuuuch nicer. ;)

Next time we will have to have an online poll to deside what clip to go for! :mad

Hear hear! :mad:mad

Front needs to be higher up the leg, and back of the pack needs to come back further near the last rib, otherwise pretty good.

Except the rosettes, I may have to kill you ;)

Nah, pretty good job, first trim always turns out wrong then you can fix from there.

I'm with Siv on this one. You need to grow the coat back to his last rib as he looks unbalanced. Probably about an inch at a guess??

When he starts to get some of his pack back (the hair on his rump) find a bowl or lid that is roughly the size you want then make a template from it. Preferably from plastic so it looks like a ring. Use this as a guide and place it on his rump to see where it would look best. I think from memory you should have about a clipper blade witdth on a standard along the spine. Obviously this varies with the size of the dog. Standard people please feel free to correct me as I only deal with the little guys :) Place your template with the middle being over the hip bone. Then decide if this will look balanced. If not the adjust your template forward backwards up down whatever to try and give the right look of balance.

With the little guys I usually use a cup and twist it into their hair to leave a ring and then decide if it is the correct size shape etc. Always make them bigger so you can take bits off. Way too difficult to grow it back when it is gone..... Hey Palane???

:) How funny, when Palane rang me I told him the same only I told him to use those silver egg thingys that you fry eggs with

The rosettes dont need to be as big as some standard ppl do them, you can have them as small as you want. This come from an all breeds judge, and yes she owned and bred standards too. Cmon Palane, do it for your country, grow dem back :)

Pfft stuff that if im showing him my dog my breeding i'll show him rosetteeless and i'll keep him that way till his a CH hopefully more ppl will follow in my brain washing program hehhehhehahahhahahahhhmmwawhhwhwhwhwhahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaa im so evil

either that or i'll shave him off and he can be a house dog :)

Sivvy dear tthey are called egg rings :)

Rosette sizes are normally determinded by the dog, the size the rosettes to counter balance (optical illusion) the lenght of the dog.... well that what load i was told ;)

Ya just gotta luv it

Just saying that some ppl have them so big, you dont really need them big at all. When you think of it this way, you dont need rosettes so why would you need them to be a certain size????????

Go figure
