stormie
Glad to hear!! Forgot to mention before, do not worry about the potassium issue with the diuretics. Dogs do not normally lose it so much as people (or cats) do when they are taking frusemide. Hope things stay well!!! barkon
Thanks for the little note about the potassium, had forgotten to ask the vet about that one! We ( hubby and I) have just set up a 'tick' board for the kitchen, so we can mark off if Konnie has had her jab. If I"m in town he stops in and gives it to her around 2... the tick will ensure that I don't double up. We live on a horse stud farm, and the stud vet will have a look at her soon too, he has been in touch with my town vet, and it seems everything will be under control for future visits. The stress on Konnie will be markably less if the farm vet looks at her. We also have xray facilities here and I think that was going to be the next course of action for her. She is doing well still, although asking to be in more during the day which is fine, she has her own bed that she is happy to sleep on and is good at asking to go out. Amazing for a dog that lived in a concrete box for the first two years of her life. You should have seen her when she first arrived and I had to hang the washing out! Keep smiling Barb
