  1. Nth cowra vets will desex early for a reputable rescue. We have all worked with Nth Cowra for many years (collectively, for over 30) and have a good relationship based on trust, ethics and common sense.
  2. Excellent idea. Enjoy the rest of your evening. And please, when you see us rescuing from the pound, try not to help. Keep smiling. :)
  3. It is just as well then that the New Rescue Service will be being run correctly, with all vet work being carried out and the core values upheld. So which of the two vets will be doing all this vet work? By all means, feel free to ring North Cowra Veterinary Clinic, and give Loz and Mel your views as to what you think of the new president of GDRR. I'm sure they will give you what you so desperately need. I have a great deal of respect for Karen at North Cowra Vet. The support staff also do an admirable job most of the time. What's your point? No point, perceive my statement as you will. And I've never had a problem getting a rescue in urgently with Nth Cowra, whether it be cat or dog. Hectic schedule or not.
  4. I call 'bullshit' lol I have the original message from the post on facebook, and she categorically tells you that she rescued three dogs. Please, let this rest, you are only continuing to make a fool of yourself.

  6. You need to be better informed before you start making statements on a public forum. I am very well-informed. I don't make such statements lightly. I know how easily a rescue group's reputation can be ruined by people's actions as well as assumptions. I've been in the rescue world for a long time. Just because I'm new to the Cowra region doesn't mean I don't know what has been going on here; what troubles me is that it continues to go on despite people TRYING desperately to improve things for the pound animals. I'm sorry honey, but your information is more then a little wrong, you might like to check your sources. Three pups were rescued, so whomever told you it was one, was seriously mistaken. Being new to the area, you'd be less likely to know who might have the facts and who would be happy to give fiction. You're not going to win this argument seeing as you weren't actually at the pound when the pups were picked up, and you weren't at the vets when one died with Parvo. I migt even add you weren't at the house today to see the two remaining healthy pups.... so where did the "ONE" come from?

  9. cross posting from the lost and found section This is Ruby, missing from Morrissett St, Bathurst since Saturday night ( 13/4/13) Please ring Jane on 0459 375 652 if you can help. She still has stitches in from being desexed.
  10. He is one gorgeous boofer Horts! So glad that everything is working so well... you won't want to come east now :p
  11. No, number 6 is one of our foster kittens. Only three of the animals on her bed actually belong to us, the two tabbies ( one behind her head) and the maltese type are temporary, the other three are hers, although the cav only sleeps with her when I have got up. Mrs RB, I would love to give mine sports days off, they are a complete waste of time in my book, but alas they have to go. A king single might be the go eventually, the room is not big enough for much more then that. Got to collect a few more dollars before a change is made...
  12. rofl nope, not a guinea pig. But yes there is 6. No hidden kitty other then the one up the back. daughter reckons she needs a new bed too, alas she is now going to nag, knowing she has all you folk agreeing with her
  13. So sorry to hear this Lyn, my thoughts are with you all. They leave such huge holes in our hearts.

  16. I was in Indonesia in '82, got bitten by a horse while on a Pony Club event, when we got home it was decided that I have the rabies vaccination. I was terrified ( and 16) at the time because I had been told about the stomach shots, so was greatly relieved to receive weekly shots in the arm instead.
  17. Absolutely you will be remembered. When we moved to Oz, we left my dog with my parents, when I went back 4 years later she remembered me to the point where she wouldn't let me out of her sight in case I left her again. Enjoy your holiday and don't stress, all will be well.
  18. RIP Paris, hugs to you and the family Diane, a Great Dane leaves such a huge hole in the heart. May your memories last a life time.
