Hi, does anyone have a Tropic Shower? It's an attachment that you connect to the washing machine taps so you can wash the dogs with warm water using a hose. I thought I had it set up right but obviously not cause water comes out where it shouldn't My washing machine doesn't have a hose for hot water so the water comes out the empty connection where if would connect. I'm thinking I might need to buy something to plug it? I did think the lever would stop the water flow but that didn't work. I do hope someone can make sense of this l  I've googled but not found an answer. TIA

Why don't you try contacting the Victorian Cavalier Club? Lovely dogs, but then I am biased  And photos are a must when you get your pup!

Vienna went off eating breakfast until I started giving her Taste of the Wild again.

I've got a stack of papers here. I thought we were having a litter but not to be If anyone local wants them? Otherwise I'll cart them off to the vet.

Vienna and I are looking forward to it :)

I got a reply to my email. They do give him 1 tablespoon but said he doesn't always finish it. I gave him a teaspoon on his breakfast this morning and put water over it. He ate that. I'll do the same with his tea. I'd so like to change this dogs diet but he's only here for two weeks so I'll be good.

I'm looking after a Cavalier at the moment. He had his anal glands removed when he was young, he's 9 now. According to the instructions his owner has left he has 1 tablespoon of Metamucil daily mixed with water. That seems a lot to me. I gave it to him this morning and he just picked the dry food out of it. I have emailed her but thought I'd ask in here too. I think she'll be checking her email.

Skin problems are an absolute pain!

Good news :) I know how you must have been feeling. Years ago a dog I was looking after swallowed a large men's sports sock I remember the nervous waiting and watching.

In NSW a registered breeder is required to register all puppies.

Feeding Coconut In Non Oil Form
Gretel replied to Ivory & Beau's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
Why do you have to melt the oil? Can't they just have a spoonful? -
Yes that sounds good. She's too young to really know details.

So sorry

Glad you came back to let us know how he's going. Your breeder may be registered but they are not reputable Puppies must not be sold before 8 weeks of age. It's fine for him to have raw mince. Have you had him back to the vet about the leg chewing? Since it's always the same I'm suspecting it could be pain.

I admit i give Renae some raw carrot every so often (separate to the vege mixes I make up in the food processor for their meals rations) only because she cant have bones anymore but she seems to cope with some carrot (not a whole one) and it gives her a treat to chew on (under supervision) Shes been fine with her digestion ;) My breeder who is also a Vet gives any dog at her place RAW as you described with pulped vegies. She hands out carrots, brocoli stalks as treats in lieu of commerically made dog ones. Works great. :D :)

D & Z it's better not to feed weight bearing bones such as drumsticks. Wings and carcasses are a better choice if you can buy them :)

Well said cavNrott.

I hope all goes well :)

Are they both desexed? So long as they are all desexed it really doesn't matter which you choose. Cavaliers are pretty easy going and it's unusual for them not to get along. I have 5 girls and all live harmoniously along with other Cavs who come here for boarding.
