  1. Yep new vet  Lots of boys have a testicle drop when they are a bit older and it is not going to become cancerous this soon. And why would they xray him at this age?
  2. I've been feeding Eagle Pack Holistic for quite a while now with no upset tummies until I increased the amount a lot for Ingrid cause she is feeding pups. If she does well on BARF patties how about feeding them as well as chicken carcasses, wings etc so you don't need to feed as much of the patties?
  3. And the breeder said they were lazy, and ran with bunny hops............... Yes indeed.
  4. When you buy a pup of a big breed the cost of feeding definitely needs looking at. You are already concerned about her movement so I wouldn't be looking at cutting corners in the feeding department. What has her breeder recommended you feed?
  5. There are lots of posts in this thread on different dry foods! Hills is another dry food that the first ingredient is a grain so not one I'd choose. I've used Advance, Royal Canin and Eagle Pack and been happy with them
  6. I found my dogs didn't have a good coat on Supercoat. It has a lot of fillers.
  7. I know a lot of people have had success with strictly raw feeding. No dry food at all. Might be worth a try?
  8. Yes make use of your breeder's knowledge I always show puppy buyers the brushes, combs, bowls etc that I use.
  9. The flea shampoo isn't out of date is it? Possibly it is unrelated to being bathed. Off to the vet.
  10. It sounds like you were quite diplomatic. Good on you for saying something to let the owner know. So many people think they are doing the right thing by their pups and never dream they could be causing damage.
  11. As long as they eat the whole egg it is okay. It's if they are eating the white only they can suffer a biotin deficiency. Four is a lot for a pup though. Yep ditch the Hills.
  12. he arrives next month - i'm just getting ready early! I'll post pics when he's here :-) Thank you
  13. He doesn't really need much in the way of veggies. I feed dry food and chicken necks without any problems. Where is the photo of your puppy for us???
  14. What are you feeding her? I like to do away with any dry food if they need to lose weight. With visiting fat Cavs I feed chicken neck/s and veggies and they lose weight easily on that.

That is a lot of exercise for a growing pup. I'd not extend it. Does he like to chase a ball? Is it possible to leave some music on for him? A radio maybe? Is there something he really likes that he can get just as you are leaving?
  16. I've just had one singleton. Cherish was born 7 months ago and is such a lovely girl! I gave her soft toys to snuggle with in the whelping box and I had her out of the whelping box and with me at a younger age than I have done with litters. No problems at all. She was even easy to wean which surprised me. I do think she thinks she has two mums - a four legged one and me
  17. Hi I'm no expert but isn't coconut oil a saturated fat? Maybe do a Google and see what you come up with.
  18. Yes my kids ended up covered in ringworm after playing with an infected child when they were young
  19. Might be an idea to have him hydrobathed and dried with a force dryer.
  20. I used to have a hose attachment on my laundry tap and I ran a hose from that outside so I could use warm water to bath my Newf and Dobe. Always killed my back though
  21. <Is the Kong Zoom Groom any good?> I sometimes use it to work the shampoo through well when I bath them, Penny.
  22. Well she's done now. There are lots of pups desexed young who never suffer incontinence. My girl who did was desexed as an adult. I'm with Miranda on choosing another vet
  23. Oh dear - sorry I have no idea but why don't you ring the manufacturer and ask them?
