Any Alternatives To The Elizabethan Collar
Gretel replied to Miz J's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I've had many dogs desexed over the years and not one has ever touched their stitches. -
Yes I came in thinking 'oh my what has happened'?!! So glad it is good news!

You could look at the standard weight of a beagle but what is right for one won't be the same for all. Some will be bigger than others and will, obviously, weigh more. If he is looking fat around the chest sounds like he is getting a bit porky :nahnah:

I Need To Enter Shows But Have No Motivation
Gretel replied to Ashanali's topic in General Dog Discussion
Now that's a good idea Years ago a friend and I owned a dog in partnership and she did all the entries for us both. Worked great for me until I turned up at a show with the girls all bathed and groomed to find out she had forgotten to send the entry. I gave her heaps about that one for ages -
I Need To Enter Shows But Have No Motivation
Gretel replied to Ashanali's topic in General Dog Discussion
I'm not bad at entering but I'm notorious for not showing up! -
And doesn't she know it!! I think I've created a monster!! I shouldn't say this but I did with Cherish! She was my singleton and very spoilt. She is rather 'high maintenance'!! She is about to go to live with friends in a pet home. They have met her and I have warned them but if she doesn't settle she'll be back here quick smart. She is 20 months old and the 11 week old pups are much calmer than she is....

Alice is so pretty
-
Yes so long as he is chewing them that's great. What breed is Charlie?
-
Oh no I am so sorry
-
Yes I've always been very happy with Peter.

Many breeders do send the pup home with some familiar things. Mine go with a blanket and toy that smells of all the pups.

My first thought was to have a crate handy but getting married in December it may be pretty hot?

Vetmedin 2.5mg. Anyone Have A Dog On This?
Gretel replied to fiery_di's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I do hope Bobby picks up soon! -
Thanks Yes she had to have a special name cause she was a singleton and very spoilt! It's not going to be easy to let her go but I know it's a wonderful home.

Sorry but I don't see how the parent is at fault at all in this case. You don't expect your child to be bitten by a dog while you're getting your hair cut!

I've had Cherish desexed and she is going to a lovely home with friends of mine. They had two of my girls and one has recently died and they are all fretting. They are very excited about Cherish coming but I am a bit worried about how soon to let her go. My concern is they have a lot of steps to get down to the backyard. They are an older couple so I don't want to ask them to carry her in case they have a fall! Cherish is very active and I know she won't take the steps slowly!

The youngest I've had them come in season is spot on 6 months old. And both were rather small girls so I was a bit surprised.

Vetmedin 2.5mg. Anyone Have A Dog On This?

I had a girl on it after she didn't improve on Fortekor. It didn't give her great relief and I ended up putting her to sleep after maybe 5 or 6 months.
