By the time the pups are 8 weeks old they are a bit of a pawful for Mum and I do think some of them are probably quite happy to see pups go Mine generally go gradually and more often than not I keep at least one or two.

I think that is your problem.... trying to keep the house hair free. Embrace the hair!
-
I'm rather surprised that the breeder didn't give you some insights into taking on the two together. Good luck!

I have found it much easier to get weight off dogs when I cut out the dry food.
-
No a human dryer doesn't have the force you need to blow the coat out
-
What a gorgeous family you have there!
-
Sounds like a very good idea

They are beautiful puppies! I love the photo of them all running towards the camera

Sounds like a wise decision! Two boxer teenagers at once would be hard work

What breed are they? Many breeds I would think two brothers would not be a good idea.
-
No I wouldn't worry. I used to give mine the ocassional grape before I knew they were bad for them.
-
I knew I'd forget something - the vacc certificate.
-
Registration, paperwork to transfer microchip, contract, general info about care of the breed and feeding. A bag of puppy food, a soft toy and blanket that's been with the pups. I'll think of something else after I post this

As a person with arthritis I would say a definite yes to swimming being better. Is he on any pain meds? He may be more inclined to exercise if he's not sore.

OMG that is awful What a nasty piece of work that woman is

Aloveen, Groomers or Triocil.

edited cause I just read your other post. Some people have given you some good advice there Looking for a pup to replace the one you lost is not the answer.

Yes I used to feel that way but I find it's not as hard as I first made it out to be I tried all my usual things when I was trying to teach Bree to walk on lead and nothing worked for me until I tried the clicker and then it's like a little switch went off in her head and she was watching me! It made all the difference with Bree and then when I struck a hurdle with her daughter I tried it and got wonderful results again I did used to use a word instead of a click but I found the click much more definite.
-
I have dabbled just a teeny bit with the clicker and found it wonderful for getting a pup happy on lead. When I first put Jersey on lead she was not at all happy but in just a couple of days she was walking happily. I am a clicker convert First of all I taught her that 'click' means treat. Just a few times a day I'd have a little session of click and treat. Then I put the lead on her and clicked and treated. So far lead = click and treat so that was good and she was quite happy. We did this a few times the first day. Next stage I held the lead and as soon as she took a step she got a click and treat. Each time I'd expect her to go a little further for her click and treat. I found she was so busy trying to get me to click and treat she wasn't worrying about the lead at all. It was so easy

Awww Happy Birthday Misty but where is the photo?

My 4 month old pups are just the same but it's with people they go crazy trying to get to them Mine are small so not going to cause me any drama but sounds like you need to get Max sorted before he gets too much bigger. Might be a good idea to post this in the training thread too

I wonder if the sand is too abrassive? Does that sound silly? -
Hopefully a good diet will help with her feet. I reckon she's maltese cross newfoundland

Thanks for the feedback I'm planning to go looking next week. I took my daughter out driving in my car yesterday. She has an auto and never driven manual. I think she'll pick it up fine.
