  1. Not sure if it's a recognised colour but don't they come in wheaten?
  2. And where is the photo? Congratulations!
  3. They are supposed to be but I have met a few exceptions over the years I once looked after one who was so terrified if anyone came to the house she would attack! There have been a few others too. It's awful seeing a Cavalier like that when they are supposed to be happy, friendly little dogs.
  4. Yep I got mine from that seller and very happy with it and the service and price I prefer the non rubber backed for the whelping box cause you can wash it in hot water. If you can fit something in the front loader you can wash it - shouldn't have a problem.
  5. Oh I do feel for you having such feral neighbours! I really hope something is done to stop them letting the dogs roam or maybe they'll decide the dogs are too much hassle and give them up. Some people really should not have animals
  6. Yes I'm afraid I'd be up front about it and tell her it won't work and the dog won't be happy with your rules. If you take him and then board him you won't have the vaccination certificate the boarding kennel would want to see.
  7. Is it just in a certain area you are prepared to go though? One breeder I suggested you said was not prepared to come to you and you said you couldn't get to them. It's not really fair to say that breeders are not being fair if you are not prepared to make the effort to go to them is it? I've had people drive hours to get one of my pups and some have flown interstate. They are not always convenient I hope you find what you are after.

    New Puppy

Was she near the other dogs? She may have been worried about them.
  9. Yes I was wondering the same as Poodlefan - they really do want to be with you. I have sold pups to families with young children. I have also refused to sell a pup to a family cause one of the children grabbed a pup by the neck and held it up against the puppy pen whilst the parents just looked on I raced to grab the puppy. If the parents had reacted differently and made it clear that they were going to teach the child how to treat a pup with care the outcome would have been different!
  10. Why don't you ask where you are currently buying your food if they can order it for you?
  11. Aww did I miss something?
  12. Why can't she stay in your room?
  13. Sorry guys this is just a wee bit off topic but lovely Lappiegirl is giving my daughter a wardrobe for her baby due very soon and we are having trouble getting it to her. My son in law's car is off the road so he can't tow the trailer. The wardrobe is in Cranebrook and just needs to go to another house in Cranebrook. I just thought I might ask in case there is someone kind and generous in the area who has a ute or a trailer and could help us out? TIA
  14. I think the cost would vary greatly. A specialist is going to charge a lot more than a vet. Some vets do these ops often and do a good job but it is a good idea to be sure you are dealing with someone who really is good at what they do There are a couple of different ways the surgery is performed as well. Some bandage the wound and some don't.
  15. Yes and there is nothing like the smile on a dog's face as they crunch into a nice chicken wing or carcass
  16. My 8 year old looks as good as she did in her show days If she wasn't desexed she'd be fine in the ring.
  17. What does he do Sheridan? I used to work at a grooming salon attached to a vet surgery. One of our grooming clients was a little interesting to handle. On one visit he was to go upstairs for vaccination and worming. The vet vaccinated him but then couldn't get the wormer down and was going to send one home with him. I took it from her and popped it down his throat.
  18. Oh yes I'd much rather give a dog a tablet than a cat!!
  19. No they are different. I tried a Furminator on my Cavaliers and wasn't happy with it at all. The Coat King suits much better
  20. Yes I shove it down and then treat. The funny thing is when I was a kid I got carsick A LOT!! I couldn't get the knack for swallowing the tablets to stop the carsickness so Mum used to crush them and put them in peanut butter or honey
  21. When my kids were little and before we had aircond we decided to go up to Blackheath pool for the day to escape the heat. We'd been there a short time when a girl sitting just near us was bitten by a funnel web. She was hysterical - poor girl. Made us a bit edgy while we were there....
  22. Yes they are not a problem for dogs but you were lucky! A friend used to live at Lane Cove and she had them in the house often
