Yes freeze away In meal sized portions. Dogs don't need a lot of veggies. Have you checked out the raw feeding thread?

Advice Please, Puppy Won't Gain Weight
Gretel replied to nikrhithokaylin's topic in Breeders Community
Sometimes you do everything you can and the pup just doesn't make it :D I tubed one little one for well over a week and took her everywhere with me but she just did not grow at all. I was getting plenty into her but it didn't help. Broke my heart to face up to it and have her PTS -
Do you or any neighbours have an avairy? They seem to attract mice and rats.

The pup I was asking about was desexed at only 5 months old.

Wishing To Purchase A Westie Or A Cavalier
Gretel replied to Abigail's topic in General Dog Discussion
It must be just mine then..........I brush them 3-4 times a week otherwise I end up with a tangled, matted nightmare and still the hair is everywhere (not that I am complaining as I love love love my cavvies). It's just something to be aware of. I have a furminator but they both hate it, particularly Cooper who is quite lean...it doesnt matter how gentle I am! Try using a rubber mitt on them -
Oh wow congratulations!

Can Anyone Guess This Ankc Registered Breed?
Gretel replied to RallyValley's topic in General Dog Discussion
I don't know but I like it -
That's a perdy bed!

Spotty I wonder if you'd feel that way if you'd bought a pup that developed a problem that may be inherited?
-
Thanks for the replies. I'd not heard of it being done as a preventative.

Speaking to someone this morning about a 5 month old large breed bitch pup who was desexed. The vet told them that while she was under they'd fix her hernia and do something so she wouldn't bloat. Fair enough fixing the hernia but the bloat bit? I'd not heard of this. Any opinions?

I loved the little Griffon in As Good As it Gets. And, of course, Lady in Lady and the Tramp

Could you please point out some references to support that statement? I would have thought that different raw foods are also digested at different rates. I would be interested in doing some reading on that. I know I have read this many times over the years. I've fed my dogs chicken necks or a wing with dry food forever and never had any problems. I know lots of people who feed the same way. I was going to ask about what dry you are feeding too. It just may not be very palatable.

Mine are all neked at home! A friend is looking after a dog for someone and the dogs collar went missing. It took a bit of a hunt before it was found on the other side of a small fence. Just lucky she got out of it....

I'd ring the vet and ask what they suggest. It's better to keep the stitches dry.

Some Cavaliers are more active than others. I do think that one was a made up one though
-
I've been in the breed 30 years and never heard that one!

Yep feed them in their crates. If they don't eat they will be hungry and then they will eat next time or the time after.....

There is a Cavalier thread in general you might want to pop in to. It's in the breed subforum. We do need pics though Royal Canin is good. I don't feed the breed specific one cause it doesn't come in big bags. Eagle Pack is good too. I prefer the Holistic range. There is a chicken one that is suited to small breeds adult and puppy. Don't know about helping with the cat, I'm afraid.

Hi, Sorry only just saw this post. I have a girl who does the same thing when she sees another dog out walking. Not at shows though! I did some work with her and got her much better but if I am walking a few it's not easy to stop the behaviour. If I walk her alone she is good. I get her to focus on me and reward her with treats as we get closer. As you say when you've got a few it just sets them all off

That was what came to mind for me too.

Oh it's not that much of a change for him then. I don't know - sorry! Did you put much kidney in? The broccoli and cauliflower may be a bit strong for him?

What food has he been eating and how old is he?
