  1. What sort of pup are you getting? Just thinking it may not be a good idea to spend much while it's young if it's going to be a chewer
  2. No. Idiots OS have been breeding 'teacup' Cavaliers
  3. I'm a meanie.... I'd just take them away if she's not interested. She won't starve and you don't want her getting fussy about food. The only time I do try to tempt them a bit is if they are unwell.
  4. Years ago people regularly asked me what sort of crosses my rubies were but most people now realise they are Cavaliers too. Some people do think all Cavaliers are couch potatoes.
  5. Oh no what a shame My daughter is highly allergic to quite a few animals. I react to German Shepherds but am okay with others. If you do look into another breed just be aware some people can still be allergic to non-shedding breeds. My daughter hoped to get a rex cat but she met some and reacted badly to them as well.
  6. I always felt very safe with my girl. I know her father, who was a very gentle loving boy, didn't hesitate to intervene when his owner was threatened once. If it wasn't for the grooming I would have another in a heartbeat. I miss my Leah
  7. Yes I'm another one watching.... I've just bought a new lounge and have a comforter over it at the moment.
  8. Oh yes dustpans and brooms are very tasty I've had some pups who are fine when I sweep but others who are shocking. Having dogs with long ears and feathering I find it easier to shut them away though anyway. I've had a few who would attack the vacuum cleaner and I have used that as a training time. They come and sit for a treat instead of attacking. It makes it take a little longer and I always have to vacuum with treats in my pocket but they generally settle down a lot. You could try that when you sweep?
  9. That's good - thanks for letting us know
  10. I use calcium after whelping (and it can be helpful during as well). I really feel that calcium is called for in Cavaliers when there are several pups as the combined weight of the pups soon adds up and puts a real strain on the mum.
  11. Is it low kilojoule stuff? I know the sugar substitute can be toxic for dogs. I'd ring the vet.
  12. Hmmm that is odd ;) I have bought from them but all the contact details are on the hard drive that up and died so no help to you sorry. Lovely beds.
  13. Oh no.. Let me know if it becomes too much.. How are my girls?? They are being good. He's stopped whinging now ;)
  14. I think Lily must smell particularly good cause the boy nextdoor has been whinging at the fence and I've never known him to do that before!
  15. Another vote for Aloveen I think it would be unusual to have a reaction to the conditioner.
  16. Awww he is so cute and cuddly :D
  17. No pic - no name :D Oh I love baby newfs!
  18. Bathing, if an appropriate shampoo is used, can probably help this dog a lot. Yes they really do need to find out what is causing the problem and help the poor dog. If a decent vet looked at the dog they would probably recommend a shampoo to help plus some other treatment. Some medicated shampoos are used more often than weekly to help the skin.
