I can't help with recommendations but I just wanted to say a friend moved to Holland last year and took her two pet Cavalier boys. Apparently they handled the trip fine and love it over there. She's sent me some lovely pics of them in the snow and they often jump into cannals

I think you need to come over to the Spitz breed thread There are a few in there. Please just remember when you are buying/acquiring a pup/dog that if you are dealing with a less than reputable breeder you are encouraging them to keep breeding......

Cavaliers are usually inside dogs cause that's where they want to be. They usually want to be with their person/family. If you are happy for her to be out and she doesn't fuss I can't see a problem. If I shut mine out they'd be at the backdoor carrying on

It wouldn't do any harm to give her some Rescue Remedy. <Maybe you need to take a step back and take her out with her lead on and just let her get used to all this without the pressure of walking. Find a bench near a path or similar and have a sit and just let her take in the sights and sounds. Reward any behaviour you want to encourage and ignore the rest.> I think this is good advice I've also found that clicker training can help the dog focus more on your and not notice so much what is going on around them. So you'd start off training her inside at home where she's not stressed and then use the clicker when you just go and sit at the park.

I've been blown away by how calm my Lappie pup is! My grandson has just been around playing with her and there is none of the jumping up I'm used to with pups and little kids. I'm raising her exactly the same as I've raised a lot of Cavalier pups.

I find if you buy a large bag of good food and you compare the price per kilo to buying a cheaper food in smaller bags it works out looking much better

At least 20 mins. befor leaving. Thanks Oakway We just went for a short drive. All going well until we arrived and she sat up and straight away upchucked And she'd been eating poo again!!!! I have no idea when she even got that - I'm on to the scooping pretty frequently.

I have tried giving her a junket tablet but it was only a few minutes before we went out. Should it have been a little earlier?

Yep ginger is next thing to try My car is an auto so it's smooth. And since it is the first brand new car I've ever had my kids tell me I drive it like a granny!!! ;)
