Sorry people but I have looked and I just can't find the thread in Market Place for the lovely collars someone was making a while ago. They were all different sizes and patterns and just what a friend is after for her pup. Can anyone head me in the right direction please? TIA :D

Yes Lacey has caught a few birds, including lorikeets She hasn't caught one for a while so maybe she is slowing down a bit....

Of my four Cavaliers I would not rehome any to someone with a bird! Well actually the youngest, Jersey, mightn't be too bad but not the others. They really really like birds

I know I am being pedantic but please call your dog by the correct name. It's Cavalier King Charles Spaniel ;) Persephone has given you some good ideas Hopefully you can work out why she is doing it.

He is beautiful!!

Doesn't it come down to people being uneducated about buying pups? Tim could have easily gone to the local pet shop and picked up the pressie. I guess he's gone online and found a website that says it breeds lovely happy little puppies and can have one ready just when he wants it. It has the pics to show how cute they are. He is just like any number of people who have been conned by the pretty pics and speil. JMO

Oh good grief! While I was typing this Vienna was doing this! We've had the ball since Christmas and yes there are lots of other toys strewn all around, untouched.

<My dad got up to answer the phone once, leaving his sandwich unattended. Ren (our old dog) managed to extract and eat the ham, leaving all other fillings and bread in place. > Classic!

I doubt that it will do any good but I've just emailed my thoughts to the prime minister. http://www.pm.gov.au/contact-your-pm

Some breeders have very good websites but are not reputable breeders ;) And being a registered breeder does not a good breeder make either! A good breeder will know a lot about their breed, including all the health issues. If they tell you there are 'no problems in their lines' so they don't need to specialist check look elsewhere. A good breeder will be specialist testing their breeding dogs. Usually hearts and eyes. Some breeders are MRIing for SM but it is very expensive and is not being widely done as yet. Read up as much as you can about the breed so you know what you are looking for too. I like pups to be raised in the home and well socialised.

NO?! I wonder why? Mine love sardines in oil or mackeral or salmon if I'm having some and there is a little left over. I bought fresh fish a couple of times but Bree seemed to have a problem seeing them as food and it took forever for her to eat it. I don't know how anyone can eat sardines! Just the smell is enough to clear the room!

Thanks Off to have a look.

No manufacturers in NSW

I'm now trying to decide whether to go Fido's or BARF shop? Any comments from those who have them? TIA

KB sorry I just read your post too. I don't come in here often. It sounds like your girl is just being a puppy LOL! Mine often bring branches inside and Lacey still loves to dig at nearly 7 years old.....

Hi Merry. I don't think you really need worry too much about getting a dominant Cavalier. They are a fairly easy breed to live with. Some are more active than others but most have a good temperament. They are supposed to be happy, friendly little dogs and most are. I have met some not so good ones over the years so it is important to meet the mum and find a good breeder. Getting an older one really does depend a lot on how they have been raised. For instance my Cavs all live in the house and are or have been shown. Over the years I have placed older ones that were just not turning out as I was hoping for the show ring. They have been raised inside and shown, walked, trained etc. They have settled in to their new homes very well and several come back to me for boarding regularly. Sometimes an older girl will be placed in a pet home after she has had her pups.

Okay I went to Petbarn. The lady I asked said no they didn't sell them anymore but another lady overheard and asked me to wait while she went and checked. They can order in the Fido's or Conmurra's but they didn't have a brochure or anything so I said I'd google and get back to them for prices.

I haven't had a chance to go yet. It's on the 'to do' list

When I worked at a vets and we had boarding kennels inside the dogs did tend to smell of urine. The kennels were cleaned everyday but they didn't dry properly and the dogs did get smelly.
-
Thanks. I'll check it out. They don't have anything listed on their website but I'll call in sometime and ask.

I would love to buy a hydrobath and have been thinking about it for a while. Is there someone in NSW who sells them? I've just found websites for Qld and Vic. TIA
