Ratz to that. I guess it will go back there. Shame it will not be around Sydney more. I hope it makes it to C/Hill tomorrow. Still Sydney gets to keep the waggiest Podengo. And. Xoloitzcuintle from next week!

I think by the end of the year we will see a few more AZs

My photographer always knows best! She looks at them that much and can tell me yes or no!

Thanks Steve. :) Another couple of peanuts from Kingaroy. They had one running the State not long ago. This is a good result and the Judges last reported comment would seem to contradict the finding and the action taken until we consider it in the context of "Beak of the Week." Judges often make erudite quips at the end of hearings that are designed to shock and stagger. Neglect is cruelty and the finacnces of the couple obviously do not support a defence economic neglect or ommission. Definately Guilty as charged. Px You will find Neglect is not covered in the Welfare Acts, sadly if there was a charge of neglect a lot of people would be very happy! Its the laws that sadly the judges are forced to rule under.

I did that last year, had a bitch in whelp moved to a cat4 country so I could get what I needed, its not a new rule, but a way to get a dog from a Cat 6 country that are not allowed in Aus from direct import. No, it is not the same thing :) Previously, a dog had to have a complete three generation pedigree AND all dogs in that pedigree to be from ANKC recognised CCs. Now dogs can be imported and registered with the ANKC, as long as the dog's pedigree is issued by an ANKC recognised CC. Without a pedigree issued by an ANKC recognised CC, dogs from countries where there is no ANKC recognised CC (ie: Turkey) cannot be re-registered by the ANKC. This is independent to the AQIS process that requires the dog to live in a category 4 country for 7 to 9 months before arriving in Australia. dogs still need a three generation pedigree I believe, well thats what I have been lead to believe and that was last year with another dog I was looking to import. But I will check this out.
-
Yes, that is what I was meaning, I didn't mean to export and then reimport the same dog just to get it registered! Yes for ex: dog from Turkey goes to USA, then offspring from the same dog is imported to Australa with an AKC pedigree. I did that last year, had a bitch in whelp moved to a cat4 country so I could get what I needed, its not a new rule, but a way to get a dog from a Cat 6 country that are not allowed in Aus from direct import.

I think that was stopped. Just to clarify. NEVER, has an ANKC White German Shepherd EVER been re-registered as a White Swiss Shepherd Dog overseas. Non ANKC (Unregistered) White Shepherds, have however, been exported & assessed against the standard & accepted for re-rego as a WSS in countries that have an open stud book. These indivdiual dogs can NOT be imported back into Australia as WSSD as they will not fulfil the pedigree requirement for re-registration of an imported dog with the ANKC. The new registration ruling deems it possible for the offspring to be imported to Australia and registered with the ANKC. A lot depends on how the o/s breed club registry running the open stud book records their pedigrees. The ANKC has to recognise all AKC / FCI pedigrees, even if the registries of the dogs in the background (ie three generations) are not recognised by the ANKC. The only exception to regulations Part 6 3.3 is where both parents are not of the same breed I.e. Sire is a WSS but the Dam is a GSD. This is an FCI ruling rather than an ANKC one and it is especially relevant to the WSS as some FCI countries are still allowing the cross breeding of WSS and GSD. No other country is required to register the first generation offspring from these matings. For anyone importing a dog where the pedigree is not fully complete, I would suggest including a copy of ANKC Regulations Part 6 3.3 with their application to re register, stating that the certified pedigree from the recognised overseas canine control complies with this regulation. The decision to re register should easily be made at the state level and no other group or committee should need to be involved, unless it is an entirely new breed that has never previously be recognised in Australia. J

I am sure some registry will register them, but as I said the ANKC wont look at peds unless they have the three gens and reg numbers ( no interbreeding would even get a look in to an FCI International pedigree, so I agree its crap! Having just imported a dog to be registered here with No prefix, I know the rules and the process, and its a lot of work to get recognised dogs in, the Breeds that are not recognised are also a lot of work and the people at the new breeds committee are very spot on with perusing documents.
-
By whom? Which registry? Dogs to be imported and reg here still need a THREE generation pedigree showing all on the pedigree with registration numbers and a breeder affix/suffix, so its highly unlikey to get through, unless they fudge the pedigree!

Reminds me a bit of those big American award shows where the celebs who present walk away with a massive haul, so massive it is quite ridiculous  Does all that really need to go to 2 winners? Think I'd rather see it shared around between the class in show winners and such! Well done though to those who organised the prizes, they certainly did a good job!! :) I hope performance get better than the mugs this year  I highly doubt I am going to win anything this year.... Wait .... Or next lol Dont worry MG I am with you are no doubt many, but I must say I appreciate the great dogs that win and the hard work that goes into it all, I am partial to a different person and dog getting the awards sometimes, BUT my favourite has to be when the dog gets all excited1!!

1 Year Old Chinese Crested In Perth
Wazzat Xolo replied to a topic in Dog Rescue (General Rescue Discussion)
The add is gone but Kim Cross at Lowenhyte Dashies will rehome CC rescues. -
Very true Beth and a very sad outcome of what was once a hairless breed, but I have seen some outstanding Puffs and they are sure getting out there and recognised. Nothing can beat their characters ( ok a Xolo !!) but my 13 year old CC is still a clown!
-
.....shame a hairless dog breed became a shave and veet breed, a hairless dog breed ( as in the hairless crested should be just that HAIRLESS) sadly its now common to veet and shave most Cresteds in order to attain the furnishings that win...... A good Puff will always shine thorugh if it is quality and a good judge knows his or her standard! IMHO a hairless breed should be that HAIRLESS with no human intervention bar a little facial tidy up whiskers etc. But thats just my opinion on hairless breeds.

Most of you guys being seasoned obedience people will laugh, BUT I must share, we had a go at rally O the other day and we were very impressed, althought it will take us a while, it is something that novice people can do and not feel threatened when a mistake is made. The whole session was fun and friendly, we had very experienced dogs to us very untrained handlers and dogs. Well known trainer Debie Russell took us through some training and I look forward to one day having a go officially.

It was just as lovely down there today, apart from the woma who told Louis to p*ss off in no uncertain terms when he went near her dog, perhaps she thought he had some horrible skin disease  However it's much better if I go down with a bunch of you - on his own with just Daisy he is more focused on other dogs and rushes up to them, he recall goes out the window when his anxiety kick in I can't have him on the lead there as he is 100x worse on the lead when dogs are running around, but I can't have him running up to dogs as that's exactly what I wouldn't want other dogs doing to him So I may just go down when there are perth meets there and he can stick with a 'pack' :) oh CC let me know when you are next there I would love to bring the BIG horrible skin diseased dog to evoke a P** Off response! lolololol With this awfully hot weather even I ( who is terrified of the beach, well the water) has given in and takes the dogs to the beach!!

I entered one of my imports in the reeders name last year and the coordinator stated I can change it into my name when it came through the ANKC, they are very keen to help out I have found at the Sydney Royal. Deb Harbin is wonderful with her help.
