  3. I am not surprised this man has lost stock, he cant even keep his dogs confined, his stock probably wandered off too. I hope he gets the full book thrown at him, hope the dogs are all ok, and can anyone tell me waht a miniature Staffy is ?
  4. Colin Jnr at Sherae Petlink in Canning vale is a WA distributor and Dogs West member, he is excellent to deal with as well. [email protected] or 0410564 326. Hmm, Petbarn is listed but neither of the stores near me are on there...Im sure Ive seen EP in at least one of them, surely they would also carry the Holistic Select range if they have EP Yes if they have the EP they have the Holistic Select here in WA.
  5. Now that's a working Labrador! Off to the office for the day? What a great photo to have Wazzat He was a big dog but I tried to keep him as lean as I could, eventually he was over worked and run into the ground, I had the vet medical board him out lol His heart wasnt in it anymore, he was great at his job and rumour has it he was one of the reasons for the Casuarina Riot!! ;)

He was an ex army dog ( was going to be used to find bombs BUT he was rejected so I took him on and what a great dog he was, made history as everypone pooped the idea and said it would never work!!) Now that's a working Labrador! Off to the office for the day?
  8. had to add my old Labrador "Duke" PAD who sadly passed away Dec 2008 at 13 years of age. PS he is actually undercover in the photo!
  9. I think maybe this puppy is destined for better things!! Good on them for admitting they could not cope but shame on them for it anyway! May good luck and fortune follow the pup wherever it goes.
  10. Thank yo all for the behaviourist suggestions after research I have finally gone with a very well credentialed gent called Garth Jennings, he is very well qualified and seems to know his "stuff" Also I dont tolerate people who dont return phone calls ( pet hate of mine!!) Thanks again
  11. Well Done CNR I can imagine it would feel pretty awesome
  12. Thanks Christine I shall email her and ask a few questions. Heres hoping!!

Hi there, Greyhounds as Pets use Garth Jennings (Amrex Behaviour) who is excellent, we've had foster sessions with him before, he operates out of Perth & Brisbane - his email is [email protected], his link is http://www.pupi.com.au/amrex-behaviour.asp. He does all dogs not just Greyhounds. Julie Thanks Julie I am also talking to Erny off here at moment for a pointer in the right direction I need someone who will suit a dog I have lol!! I have dealt with Garth a while ago re a thesis I completed so I shall email him, many thanks.
  14. [Yeah, I plan to get 1 of those rubber brooms and probably a Bissell Pet Eraser carpet cleaner as well. Awesome website btw. Love Taha and Besitos. I have not seen a xolo in the flesh before though. Thanks lol in the flesh!! They dont eat them anymore!!
  15. :D Wanna trade?? :D Love the look of the xolos. Some days yes, but they are really not a good trade, they were never let into a house till I got them and really they are so primitive, they do not know the diff from indoors to outdoors, they assume everything is a tree to pee on.lol I know I used to use rubber gloves to remove the dog hair from the car seats when I had Labradors, they worked great, maybe a rubber type broom ??
  16. Can any West Aussies recommend a Dog Behaviourist? One that has a good reputation and preferably one that someone has used themselves? I know of Graham Adams are there any more anyone can share ? many thanks in advance.
  17. and .... the other obvious solution ( dont hit me, I just had too) get a Xoloitzcuintle, they just cant afford to lose any hair!
  18. Yes MM you are quite right, it is criminal, I just have a nag at the back of my head that says dog people are genuine people, it saddens me to think that smome may be that COMPETITIVE that they may resort to this, after all its just a dog Show, win lose or draw you always take the best dogs home with you!!
  19. Good Luck with the vet and keep trying to reach the breeder I am sure they would like to know or even have some advice. Let us all know how you go .
  20. Thanks Sway and thanks to whoever had the Puppypen idea, never thought of that, will definately get one for the puppy pen shade.
  21. Very very sad indeed and people wonder why the numbers are falloing at dog shows, I believe its actually one level up or down from bad sportsmanship its almost criminal. Glad to hear you caught the light plug fault before driving and THANKS for the warning.
  22. Thats great she has been at the vets, so they are aware of the weight loss, I gather they were not concerened? If she has been an active dog ( I have never known a Min Pin to be still lol) maybe her arm injury has lost some muscle and with her not moving as much she is not inclined to eat as much, but it seems a lot of weight. I can only comment from when my old girl wouldnt eat and I got her to eat by hand feeding her, it turned out she had Pancreatitis. Sorry not much help, but I am sure someone on the forum will have some good advice. She is not sterilized, breeder is unreachable
  23. Pure breed have you consulted the vet to see if there is an underlying problem? Sorry I cant see what breed you have to make any further comment maybe you tell tell the group the breed and the age and a few more details ? I see its a Min Pin and 2 years old this a previous post by you may have a bearing on the weight loos as well...3rd Feb 2010 - 06:12 PM Post #1 Any help advise greatly appriciated. My dog has had 3 seizures in the past 9 months, each lasting about 5 mins (I think it felt like an eternity), he thrashes about, has alot of spit comming out of his mouth and then when the seizure is over he sleeps rock solid for roughly 9-10 hrs, I physically have to shake him to wake him up. I have taken him to my vet and he has run liver function tests and done a full physical on him, the tests come back all clear and he is in perfect health. The vet has told me there is no test that can test for epilepsy and the vet has advised me to get a cat scan on his head to rule out a brain tumour as well. What I would like to know is does a dogs personality change with epilepsy as my boy has changed dramatically, he is now very anxious and has developed a very nasty streak, I know he doesn't mean to do the things he does its as if he cant help himself, he will scratch my face when I am holding him and bite my other dogs for no reason. Also the cat scan is going to be inexcess of $2000.00 and I wont be able to come up with the money for a little bit, is there another way to find out if it is a tumor or epilepsy. Cheers in advance. Did you get any tests done for this Purebreed ?
