Although I dont know Jed personally, she is like part of the DOL furniture. Get well soon Beans poor little mite I bet they hate keeping still! lol Masons mum I saw the foot thing and was going to comment as my girl has had a few probs with her feet as in hair follicles and ingrowns, I have been bathing in Condys Crytals everyday and seems to be working but I know yours is a diff kettle of fish. We dont do the walk we just go for the socialisation and breed education to the public bit! My two walk at a cracking pace and get stroppy when we go slow, you know they get so fit and toned when we walk HOW COME I dont ! ?? I am just eager to meet DOLers, I can strike a few off my list now and all have been super to meet, funny when you know a name and then meet the person, its always different! lol

ANY Dolers doing the Million Paws Walk this weekend ? I know the Wei people are anyone else ?

Well I for one will not be showing against anyone and I know I am breeding for the betterment of the breed in many ways, as I have mentors who advise me and are in constant contact, not everyone can show against others in some breeds, I believe its about being honest and up front with your dogs, and the very best specimins that fit the breed standard will continue the breed. I am already looking to lines that will better my lines as I have certain atributes I want to retain and a few I want to change with new lines. The betterment of breeds is as a few have stated not just all conformation. Any breeder that has NO faults in their lines really needs to have a step back, as I for one dont know of any breed of dog that is faultless, we should all be striving with the very best animals to better the breed.

Thanks for posting what an achievement for all the dog owners BEATS any sort of dog show or show champ any day I bet! What a tremendous feeling for both handlers and those special kids. As a breeder I bet your friend was glowing

Hopefully I will be there Labrat, may be without hubby as he can only handle so much as in dogs! Dont blame him really and he like me definately isnt a show person! lol

Me and Lincoln SHOULD be there but we might have to leave a little early cause I have to work. I don't know if you know but it starts at 12.30 now. We will also be there the next day for Gundog Club show. ;) Yes, I noticed all the ads throughout the latest K9 news. Which is why I thought I might head along. Im heading to Perth that weekend anyway, so it would be nice to spend the arvo at the dog show before heading further north to my brothers place. And I may catch up with people I didnt get to see at the Western Classic! But I WONT be bringing cake :laugh: Rat Let me know Lab Rat as I need to take the monkeys up for a handler to have a play with may be that weekend or one after, have MPW this weekend.

Sorry to go OT but as I am looking at lease agreements can someone tell me the downsides? Well you could be like me and despite written agreements, you could have the other party refuse to return your dog and make death threats against you and that is just the short story. End result was that I didn't get my dog back. I would have a legal rep draw up an agreement , the only people getting a dog on lease are well known friends so I hope I should be ok in getting the dog back, I have heard of this happeneing and its a disgrace, very sad indeed. The bad news is that under most circumstances, they will not stand up in a court of law no matter who draws them up (mine were looked over and approved by a lawyer). And to be perfectly frank, friends are the LAST people I'd be getting involved in a lease situation with. Things like that have a nasty habit of breaking up friendships. Just my experience. May have to look at a lease in a joint lease arrangement, thank you for the advice.

I would have thought as the APBT were not a registered breed you would not be allowed to breed them as a registered breeder ? Thats my view J

Thats what I suggested to our Royal Show Society last year but as my breed was going through recognition process I couldnt last year. This year I am hoping they will let me have a breed display, as I will have a litter of puppies (hopefully) that I can possibly show to the public as well. Another point the GP do not realise is how serious some people take the dog shows, my husband was nearly knocked over ( these are his words) by a man all dressed up to the nines carrying a Dog running and screaming frantically up the aisle, my husband was most upset and thought what a rude man!! I explained why he was like that and the pressure some people put themselves under at shows, later when introduced to the gent, he could see he was a great guy. Funny thing to this story is this gent and his wife will be showing the Xolos in the ring for the first time!!

That is gorgeous But Yes! Your poor Mum Yes, just shows how everything has changed over the years - they left me there until I woke up as well, so obviously the ST breeders weren't worried - the photo was of me curled up still asleep with the dog - so instead of grabbing me and screaming whatever - they all thought what a great photo op and went and found the paper photographer . Will have to see if I can get mum to scan the photo and email it to me - I'm sure she's got it tucked away somewhere. Bring back the olden days !!! I love this story, I tried to find it online but not knowing the vicinity or paper name I couldnt, some paper clips you can buy online in an archive of old papers. ;)

Nope, no gun dogs on board. No guns back then. I suppose the cat people will also be clawing to claim which breed of cat was in the ark too. That could get ugly ...... Souff I heard Troy had a seperate Ark for all the dog breeds?
