OK VC I will be upfront and honest NO WAY IN HELL is DB getting my dogs publicity as I said I dont need that sort of publicity! The Audi company in Perth are intersted in my dogs for a photo shoot now that is worth more to me than any DB publicity that will be all twisted around to his way of thinking, now thats just me maybe there are other breeds that want or need his type of public relations, but I am sorry I seriously doubt it!

I as are many Xolo breeders very very protective of this primitive breed and I dont want every Don, Dick and Harry having one because they look unique, I want people to have one because they deserve one and have worked hard and understand the breed. Don Burke does not do this in his shows! I understand your comments and I too up until yesterday had the same opinion of Don Burke I thought he was hard done by and some of his statements made a bit of sense, BUT after speaking to him I now understand what people say about him. He actually rubbished my breed on the phone and stated utter nonsense, now I have had plenty of media exposure with my breed and I remember the first news story on them all the reporter was interested in was the HOW MUCH they cost, which I explained was irrelevant as it was a dream and I wanted the story to focus on the breed and one persons dream come true. This story was published last year when times were VERY tough for many and really nobody wanted to read about some silly woman spending a ridiculous amount of money on some dogs. My point is some advertising is not worth it and can be very damaging and the fact that Don Burke openly promtes the Designer Dogs in preference to pedigree dogs is not a good thing. A lot if not 99% of Pure Bred Registered breeders health test/temp test and offer lifetime support with their dogs, people like Don Burke do not and unfortunately I heard first hand hios words "I do not believe in the desexeing bullshi**" That will stay in my mind forever as NO MATTER who you are or what you breed this is relevant to all for the continuation and the health of any species.

He was in fcat very rude and kept talking over the top of me and correcting what I said, I mean I dont tell him how to pot his plants but he sure knew what size my dogs were and all about the breed. Whats wrong with the advert? They are registered breeders with Australian Champion dogs. WKC (Working Kelpie Council) is the registry that Working Kelpies are registered with. They compete at various working dog trials throughout the country to obtain these highly prized titles. They are very hard to get. I didnt know they had a website. Lots of great Kelpie photos! Take a look at the last person to win a dog. Great story. I do not recall stating their was a problem with the add I just commented I hoped they were not reg breeders as it is forbiden to offer a dog as a prize under certain rules in our state it is anyway!

No no phone number but I called his office and left a number, I have had a few odd calls lately from nosey bloody people who want to know what I am doing with the breed and imports etc! I had a niggly feel its a jealous breeder who cant get over someone beat her ( well apparently not) to import the Xolo! I mean who cares! lol

He has a magazine and a radio show, he wanted to do a story on the Xolo but as someone else was here before me I guess he should really do the story on them! lolololol

This morning I got a phone call CALLER "Hello can I speak to ******" ME "Yes this is she" CALLER "My name is Don Burke from Burke s Backyard" ME "Oh yeah this is Elle McPherson from my own yard" CALLER "Seriously, this is Don Burke" ME "Well what are you doing out of the garden" I said Much to and froing went on before I realised it was Don Burke and not one of my crazy friends or husband playing a prank! Quick back peddle lol He wanted to do a story on the Xoloitzcuintle and proceeded to tell me how he knew all about them as HE had been to Mexico and he had met Xolo breeders who werent really Xolo breeders and Xolos were just mongrels basically with no pedigree. ( I guess unless its an uberdoodle to him its not real!) He then proceeded to tell me that my dogs must be miniature or medium size as he had seen HUGE ones in Mexico, I explained the heights and mine were in fact correct height with correct pedigrees, in fact all Xolos after their near extinction in the 1950's had correct pedigrees, unlike many years ago in the dark ages when dogs records were not kept! My website is wrong as well so I guess I will have to fix all that up too! lol Then he proceeded to tell me I was not the first and other Xolos were here and would I mate mine to a lesser height Xolo ( Cant be done under ANKC and FCI rules) and I should be able to with these other people in Australia to better the breed! Gob smacked I told him I had a reputable breeder I got mine from and in fact I already had plans underway for the delivery of the next Xolos, but thanked him for the offer! He then stated he wanted me and these other people to get together to meet for a story ( I wonder who is paying as they are all over east! lol) Out of the blue he states " I am a breeder you know( of plants I thought) and I dont believe in all this desexing bullshi**, I tried to explain as a ANKC breeder I am bound by ethics and rules and .... but he just kept going on about absolute nonsense. Luckily I had to go out and was able to cut the convo short, I had never hated the Don B and wondered why everyone spoke not too highly of him. I SEE NOW WHY! I then asked for his email so I could send him some Xolo info ( not that he needed it as he was an expert apparently!) and he read it out, I asked was that lower case or upper case he stated loudly" It doesnt matter on a computer either will get here" another fact I didnt know. What a condescending man he was. vent over what a strange man!!

Jed will be so happy when she finds out how she has had such an impact by showing what the PACERS can do and the joining of the "masses" by this very unfortunate tradgedy, its like the followers! What a wonderful inspiration Jed is to all people and will continue to be.

i have always been an MDBA member, well worth it, just the Pacers I couldnt see what they did NOW I understand. If you go to the MDBA website I am sure there is a link to info and joining pacers on there

I do not and will not list prices or discuss until I have a puppy questionaire and some info about a prospective home, then it can depend on pet/show/ jnt ownership and a lot of other factors. Most breeders want a great home and this is far outweighed by any monetary price. J

I am sad to say that I did not believe in the power of MDBA PACERS! I will always say when I am wrong and have NO PROBLEM with it ever. I was worng and a NON believer in their power! I spoke to Julie aka Steve at MDBA PACERS today re a Dog News Article for Jed, today WOW This woman and the PACERS team are as everyone knows doing an exceptional job and I just wanted to say THANK YOU and I am a firm believer in this wonderful organisation and the angels that volunteer their time, blood, sweat and tears. Julie could hardly speak ( probably been drumming up support none stop and lost her voice) but she was so vibrant and full of enthusiasm for a fellow Dog Lover. What a great ambassador for PACERS and the MDBA. Just wanted to give a big thank you, as sometimes we forget the behind the scenes goings on. SWAYDE and many others too deserve a great big pat on the back, its so nice to see. J

He looks cute. Is his other foot shaved to? No he just has a very short coat over his legs and head. Shaved Please Tiggy he's a show dog! Thank goodness u=you didnt shave him I would have competition in the Xolo class. he looks very proud of his new leg! lol
