Help - Need Pet Friendly Accom At Brisbane Airport
Fit for a King replied to mumof3's topic in General Dog Discussion
If you have to have the dog at the airport at 6am then you won;t be able to board the dog overnight - I doubt any kennel is going to get up and release a dog for you at 5am. I would keep trying motels and explain either dog can sleep in the crate in the hire car or at a push they might let you sleep her in the crate in the room..... here's a list.... http://www.wotif.com/hotels/australia-bris...ort-hotels.html -
National Tv Current Affairs Show Needs You
Fit for a King replied to SandyK's topic in General Dog Discussion
and the other big issue here is the misinformation about breeds given out at pet stores - for instance there was a spate of Maremmas being sold through a particular pet store chain and they were described by staff as being "great family pets - just like Golden Retrievers" - what utter nonsense and potential disaster for a family.....obvioulsy staff knew niothing and either made up the drivel or just repeated by rote what they had been told..... -
I haven't shown in Sydney since the mid 80's - someone attempted to give my dogs radiator coolant in their drinking water - while they were in their trailer with someone standing about 10 feet away - I found it in time but packed up and went home and never set foot there again...... But, after some of the crapola that has been pulled on people at Durack I have to say I think it happens everywhere......dogs let out of crates and trailers, trailers unhitched from cars, trailer hitches stolen off vehicles, dogs fed poisoned meat, dogs fed cheese with thumbtacks stuck in it, property stolen from cars, trailers and gazebos, gazebos thrown into trees so someone could have that spot, dogs encouraged to urinate on other exhibitors belongings, wheelnuts undone...and the list goes on.....I do think there is a minority - as exists in the real world - of nutters that are so obsessed with winning and being at the top of the tree that they will stop at nothing to win....seriously delusional.........serioulsy poisonous...........seriously dangerous......thank god a couple of the worst offenders from up here are now other states' problems.....

The Bedlington? -
There's nothing to say that this won't be the case fifi......scare mongering that this is the end of the world is fruitless....let DQ and the people in power work out what is happening and how...I really don't believe DQ registered breeders with council approvals will have issues......

Ultrasonic Mosquito Repeller And Dogs.
Fit for a King replied to Crazy Daisy's topic in General Dog Discussion
I use the ones that plug into a powerpoint - not ultrasonic - you add a small blue pad of insecticide - I change them every few days - very quick working - don;t seem to affect the dogs at all..... -

surely her continuing to xbreed after the original "accident" would be in violation of the COE for the UK KC and she risks having her prefix suspended? Would be interesting to see if someone wrote and protested what would happen...I'm guessing nothing......

oh I see - no fun in that Steve?
-
I have written advice from DQ that 1/2 brother/sister matings are permissable under the new regulations. I would suggest people in other states ask their individual state bodies and get the advice in writing. Steve - if you know for a fact about these black market papers and you know who has them then why not report them?
