I've seen that episode - the pup ended up being about the size of a Basenji.....
-
that is a very strange looking shiba - doesn't look like a coyote but I wouldn't necessarily have identified it as a shiba either....
-
but don't forget in summer they will be considerably hotter for the dog than a wire crate......

"the Most Dangerous Dog Breeds" By Pat Gray
Fit for a King replied to Skruffy n Flea's topic in General Dog Discussion
err and there certainly have been cases of brain tumours causing a friendly dog to display sudden and unpredictable aggression - nothing to do with separate or pathological phenomenon -
Thanks Oakway - I know they co-own them but I don't think they have bred them....or at least I have never seen Craig with anything but his adults.....
-
I don't think there is anyone in Oz breeding Eurasiers.
-
I don't think the article meant the dog died - just that it was examined. Unfunny joke yes but if it was just a joke (and who in their right mind would in all seriousness brag about such an act) it has well and truly bitten him in the butt.

Rspca Proposals For A Mandatory Code For Puppy Farmers.
Fit for a King replied to minky's topic in In The News
You're kidding right? How on god's earth could you agree to this? street address published on the net - I hope to hell you have good security systems or you may find yourself coming home to no puppies all pups desexed unless going to a registered breeder - so much for getting newbies into showing - unless they become a breeder right off the mark they can;t own an entire dog dogs still being sold in pet stores - because those little glass/perspex boxes are just what they need for socialisation - come on they must be kidding.... I could spend the next 1/2 hour ranting but frankly it wouldn't do much good. I do hope the state bodies are aiming to have a HUGE say in what happens here. If they think that's going to stop BYB and puppy farmers they are even more delusional than I imagined..... -
But what's really really weird is that the attacker pleaded guilty but the magistrate dismissed the charges.....

Dr Chris Brown Publicised Buying A Pup From Petshop

He's been a complete tool since he went on the air. Nothing's changed. -
My vet referred me to a cancer specialist for one of mine - unfortunately she died from the treatment within a week. My vet sent two cards and a huge bunch of flowers and i was very touched. The specialist also sent a card which I tore up - I was disgusted with them - on the day she died I rang the specialist centre to tell them and the receptionist asked me "are you sure she's dead" - when I said through gritted teeth yes I'm sure I got an "oh well I suppose I should cancel your appointment for tomorrow then". The specialist called me later that day and spent 20 minutes, until I hung up on her, trying to convince me her treatment had nothing to do with my girl's death. Would never set foot in that specialist centre again.

Chow Chow Hip Displasia/knee Reconstruction
Fit for a King replied to Baby_Bear's topic in Puppy Chat
I'm well aware what the procedure seeks to do just very surprised it was done at such a young age when bones and joints are stuill growing - did the vet mention it may have to be revisted at a later stage in life? -
"does it really matter? " - err yes because we all have to follow forum rules....

Hips fused at 16 weeks while the growth plates were still open? Seriously? Wow...I didn't think any vet would do that when the dog still has so much growing and changing to do... -
and who in their right mind leaves pups unattended - esp pups so young? Morons.

"n. if any dye, colouring, lightening or darkening matter has been used and remains on any part of the dog at the time of exhibition:–" - the fact that several different dog shampoo companies now include dyes in their shampoos makes this even more interesting......especially as at least one was designed by show people for show dogs.....should we consider that cheating?

If your dogs are pedigreed and registered with the CCCQ (or DQ as they are now known) then they have health days at Durack and m/c is $30 from memory but you must take the rego papers with you.

Many thanks KimJim1 - will go have a look and see what I can find. Cheers

I'm after a set of dog boots for a large breed - does anyone in Oz make or stock from overseas pls?
-
err - based on the pic she doesn't appear to have been starving like her dogs.....
-
the meat itself may be the problem...have you considered a vet specific dry food to get rid of the toxins - can take about a month - then you reintroduce one sort of meat at a time and if no reaction then reintroduce into the diet. red meats are notorious for allergies......

Women Injured And Animals Killed In Overnight Fires (caboolture Qld)
Fit for a King replied to Boronia's topic in In The News
all the gear that was donated by Deals Direct - do you think that Jane herself may need it to start again rather than raffling it etc. Other things she may not need would be good for raffles but dog beds etc etc she'll need when she is released..... -
