Thankyou for all the replies. Pipi has 2 weeks until his C5 vac so I've got a few weeks to have a look around and find the right class/trainer for us. We have a private post adoption training class at LDH this weekend with planet K9 I think they're called. I'm going to check out all the trainers on DOL and the links you guys provided. I can't wait to start training, I hope the poodle side of his brain clicks in..

I have recently adopted a new dog from the LDH. Pipi is a Maltese X Poodle approx 1.5 yo. I really want to start obedience classes with him. I've been looking for good schools in Melbourne and I came across this Command Dog Training. I was wondering if anyone else has used these guys before? With my last dog we went to a community dog training class and I didn't really enjoy the experience. Would appreciate the feedback or any names of other good schools/classes in Melbourne. Cheers, Lucy http://www.dogtraining.com.au/ - this is the website I was looking at.

Hi Everyone, Devo my 9mth X and I have finally moved out of our old place with the nasty housemates. We have found a place with a nice guy and his Dobe x Kelpie who is lovely. What i want to know really is they seem to be infatuated by each other and wont leave each other alone.. it has only been 2 days now but what is the best way to get them use to living with each other with as little drama as possible? They havent had any agrguments yet. Also this guy lets his pooch sleep inside on his bed, i did this last night as i thought it was a new house and all. I dont think i could do another night like this.. Is is mean to keep Devo outside of a night while the dobe sleeps inside? On the plus tho, he cooks for the dogz everynight now and gets up in the morning to take them for a walk to so dont doubt that these pooches wil be very spoilt! Thanks Lucy

Devo just got his stitches out yesterday. He was fine.. The only way you could tell he had been in to the vets was the giant bucket on his head! HE was fine as soon as he woke up. I had the added extra on IV fluids in the opp as well. Good Luck

Hi everyone, Devo seems to be feeling a bit better today. We slowly introduced his advocate yesterday and his poop was firming up. So we have decided to see how he goes on this for a few days. Hopefuly it was just a passing bug. Thankyou for all your advice and help. Will let you know how it all panns out. -Lucy

No, chicken is raw.. The vet said it would be ok, but i might start to boil it from now on. Hrmm.. colour.. wel it's kinda of a brite mustard colour.

I think we will have to go back again.. the chicken and rice still doesnt seem to be firming his poop up at all.. and it's a kinda wierd color too. Poor puppy, he seemd to be fine apart from that.. still zoomies and brite and alert.

UPDATE: Well i took Devo to the vet with a sample of his poop. She said that it was most likey that he had eaten something that may of upset him. But that there was a chance that he may have developed an intolerance to some foods. SO poor Deev's is only allowed to eat rice and fresh chicken for the next few days untill he starts to clear up then slowey introuduce his other foods (dry and bones, frsh meat) to see how his stomach copes with it all. I'm sure he will be fine soon. Cheers Lucy
