I will be there on the Saturday, I have to cook some slices for the judges - I hope they feel okay afterwards I'll try and put some sort of ingredient in them in that memorises the Judges to only award top ribbons to DOLers where can we meet up, how will I know who is a DOLer or not?

Do You Feed Your Dogs Morning, Night Or Both.
Ons replied to ~Myschafis~'s topic in General Dog Discussion
morning they get a few biscuit bones evening they get their dinner - the time depends on when I feel like feeding them, I'm not with my schedule going to have a set time each night if I don't feed morning Tilly throws yellow bile up everywhere so she is much better having the two meals a day -
another one who thinks that a male golden retreiver may be perfect for you my boy certainly ticks all your boxes

Onslow, Tilly and Flashy send good vibes and hugs and licks and pats to Lola and hope all goes well tomorrow for her.

gorgeous photos and such a good promotion for greyhounds

I would build an enclosed run and leave him in it whilst you are out and asleep. I'm thinking that he has now discovered the wonderful world of company and now wants it all the time, he may settle as days go on and realises that he is there to stay and also when the desexing kicks in. Rexiam i have a big on my face, thinking of you having a wonderful dog to share your life with after all your sadness.

over the Anzac weekend? who is going?

I have a very large golden retriever, a smaller golden retreiver and a coolie plus 3 cats. Are they a dog that could withstand all of this? :D I've been thinking and rethinking and thinking again about what I want my show dog to be and these may be perfect but I do want a dog that is also going to enjoy playing running games with my coolie (who isn't that high energy just needs motivation to move him at times). thank you

Poll: Have You Ever Used The Report Button
Ons replied to sandgrubber's topic in General Dog Discussion
used it twice, the one most recently when someone in a show thread started to refer to everyone who lived in the country as cotton pickin yokels. That really got my goat up -
this was my concern about my foster dog who became my foster failure dog. About a month after I got him I had to go away to a compulsory work conference for four days. I took him to the kennels where my other two had boarded so they knew the routine. Flash was absolutely fine although I worried about him. He was happy and healthy when I picked him up and a couple of months after that he spent over 3 weeks there with no dramas. I did express my concern with the kennel owners so they kept a special eye on him. I'd board her in her own enclosure but ask for adjoining enclosures to your other dog. Take a few toys and blankets from home so she feels secure. My understanding is that dogs can smell "death" :D at a pound, a smell that they don't get at the kennels so they feel more secure.
-
my heart goes out to you Brooke, what a difficult situation. But :D for you for fostering children. I'm thinking that as much as it may break your heart that Ben should be rehomed to a dog savvy home with adults only. It would be kinder to him. no flaming here, only lots of

hope your little guy is okay another one who says wean off supercoat puppy, my dog was on it as a pup but I found it gave her awful diarroheah (sp?), from memory we went to Optimum - which had allergy issues for her until we went to Eagle Pack puppy
-
i've seen it but haven't picked any up sardines are 69 cents a tin the home brand ones so I get them for fishy treats for the dogs, they love them!

Happy birthday Kibah you certainly are a very pretty girl!

Great Site Steve! Will spend more time looking through it I am one of Steve's happy customers! I don't care whether he has 1000 degrees, all I know is that his methods work wonders, with me it's to the extent that I have added another dog to my family and that I foster every now and again, all things that I couldn't have done before. In fact you can read about my testimonial in the website - I laughed when I saw it but vouch still for every word that I said except I never did train Onsy for obedience lack of time and not willing to get up at the crack of dawn for obedience training on sundays . http://www.k9pro.com.au/pages.php?pageid=126 is my testimonial. It would have been 3 1/2 years ago I saw Steve but I still practice what I learnt and most importantly I am leader of the pack here and everyone knows it all the very best Steve!

my friend's mums go in a very large crate to have their pups and she leaves the gate open for mum. She puts sheets on the bottom of the crate for comfort and which she can wash daily easily. When the pups are a bit bigger she puts a puppy pen around it so mum can get out but pup can't. As pups get bigger puppy pen gets bigger but mum can still get out. Just make sure that the spot is very quiet and that no other dogs can go near her nor can she be disturbed by kids. And another friend who had a singleton litter had huge toys in the puppy pen so that the pup had to climb over them.
