still thinking of you Jed sending positive healing vibes your way -
I loved my soft crate too, easy to store, easy to put up. One night I went out and left 3 dogs in the house, my two dogs had free range and the foster was left in the soft crate. came home to the greeting of 3 dogs at the door - the foster had managed to chew through the front of the crate He had been quite happy in it for a month or so with no problems but not this night. Lucky no damage had been done and the foster dog was adopted by me despite this and other incidents But I am wary of soft crates and love my wire crate which I can put down but they are more clumsy than the soft crates and don't look as good.

I'm very sad to hear of your loss RIP Rex, run free at Rainbow Bridge

alternatively if people write on a 6 1/2 inch calico square a support message for Jed with a fabric marker. those squares can then be made into a quilt for her. I don't mind sewing the calico squares together but baulk at the idea of actually quilting it but there are professionals that can do that. Just an idea eta that perhaps if anyone has some special cotton only material they could cut a 6 1/2 inch piece of that fabric as well and it could be interspersed with the squares.

:D obviously wanted cereal this morning rather than what she normally has and at least she chose a healthy choice rather than cocopops or fruit loops gorgeous looking dog

absolute gorgeous photo Persephone! I can come on Pandii jump in and get a coolie! Borahview as well as Coolibah Coolies have pups at the moment!
-
beautiful dog! I love shelties too There's nothing like being greeted by a dog is there? When I come home after a hard day at work no matter what has happened there are 3 faces with tails wagging waiting for me at the side gate. Nothing destresses you quicker.

I'd suggest a cavalier king charles spaniel as well although they do like the company of another one. My mum and dad have two and they are 77 years of age, perfect dogs for them in that they are quiet when they are but dad loves walking and even 12 year old Kyra goes excitedly for a long march down hill and up dale each day and Katie loves chasing the ball when dad is gardening. they do shed a bit of hair though. eta that on days walks are missed the dogs don't worry about it.

;) I love the look of this breed and their temperament sounds just like fun! seriously how much grooming and what grooming is involved in their coat for a show dog? and how are they with cats and other dogs? thank you

beautiful dogs and beautiful property! They will have an absolute ball living there.

100% recall with my coolie, always has been. Even the other day when he was off the lead on a walking track and horses rode nearby which got his interest he came immediately when called. as for the goldens well they are a different story consequently they stay on the lead on the walking track.

I thought I was the only one in the world with a cat called Hyacinth as for the weeing, I think if he is marking he is more likely to wee on something, I think just in the scheme of things he may have just forgotten to go outside.

thank you everyone for their replies, lots of interesting reading! they sound like real characters! lots and lots of fun!

wishing all the very very best from my household to Fern hope that all goes well at the vets and they can fix her up we are very fond of cavaliers here, my mum and dad have two. Kyra the cavalier was run over by a car when she was very young and is still going strong at the age of nearly 13.
