  1. I had an older maltese, Daisy and got a golden retreiver puppy, Onslow. After a couple of weeks of Daisy getting used to the Onsy, they ended up loving each other and would play wonderful games together Daisy of course was the boss But I would supervise them together and when I was at work or out the Daisy was in the house and Onslow was in the backyard. I was just concerned that Onslow may accidentally injure Daisy. Even today Onslow is so gentle around littlier dogs especially my mum's two cavaliers and he is a very big golden retriever
  2. free range sleeping dogs here too I go to bed about 11 pm and the boys go out for a wee before bedtime and I always make sure they go otherwise Onslow is scratching and barking at the door about an hour later. Tilly seems to take herself outside about 8.30 pm or 9.00 pm, makes herself comfortable on the recliner for the night and rarely goes out with the boys. I get up about 7 am and let them out. However sometimes I'm woken by flash snuffling in my face or Onslow scratching and barking at the door to let them out. Sometimes Onslow is very regular about what time he wants out, for awhile it was always right on 3 am but with colder nights he is not so keen. If the boys do want to go out in the middle of the night/early morning Tilly always rushes out but she has never woken me up to ask to go out and has never had an accident either, touch wood.
  3. I got confused by my coolie and my recent foster cattle dog they were both the same size and more or less the same blue colour on their back and if I looked down quickly at them would call by wrong name. when we were growing up we had two tri coloured shetlands sheepdogs, now they to us were nothing alike but everyone else thought identical.
  4. only the other night I was walking with the three of them and they stopped to sniff some grass. I started saying to them "come on, quickly, you don't know who has been on that grass and I don't want any of you picking up germs now do I. You wouldn't want to get sick would you". Ummmm the bloke doing his exercises on the nearby driveway stared at me as if I was crazy. I sometimes wonder what neighbours think too when I'm housetraining a pup or foster dog outside

  10. I'm sorry to hear this, how devastating RIP sweet puppies and chihuahuas
  11. which breeder do you feel more comfortable with? which breeder is going to help you with any difficulties that may arise? that's the breeder that I would be going with.
  12. very sad but thank you for caring Keetamouse RIP Snowy, run free
  13. something in my eye too what a wonderful tribute to both shell and Zero and I also think that K9 Force is the best he really helped me out
  14. Flash my coolie was a rescue dog so I don't know his relatives but my friend has loads of coolies. They have always accepted Flash and he just runs around in the middle of them within seconds of arriving at her place. He probably goes there about every second month.
  15. gorgeous subjects and beautiful photos
  16. shoes, Onslow must destroy all shoes and I'm not the tidiest person he often succeeds. My last pair had bows on the front, but one bow was chewed off - i still wore them hoping noone would notice or comment
  17. I swear my cat Hyacinth can walk through locked closed sliding screen doors. I know that she can open the sliding screen door if it's closed but not locked but seriously I'm 100% certain she was in the house, the sliding screen door was locked so she couldn't open it and the next thing I know she is at the door on the outside wanting to come in
  18. yoghurt on kibble my butcher sells frozen pet mince for $2.00 a kilo, I put it in my saucepan/slow cooker with no brand frozen vegies, water, stock cube if I have one, garlic and dried herbs and used to add pasta/rice but they are all on diets so this now gets left out. This lasts with their kibble 3 nights and they are 2 big dogs and 1 medium dog. Also butchers sell bones cheaply if you ask.
  19. I was quoted $1200 for a golden retreiver puppy and $750.00 for a tibetan spaniel puppy recently - both breeders knew I wanted a show dog. both prices I think are very reasonable and from well known breeders
  20. Ons
