Mum and Dad's cavalier is 13, she is stone deaf and going blind but still outwalks everyone! Sadly at a vet visit recently she was diagnosed with tumours in her spleen, the vet said just to keep an eye on her as there is not much they can do since that day Kyra has had a new lease of life and is bouncing around, Dad jokes, but he will be distraught, that she knows what the next vet visit will entail so is determined for it not to happen It will be a sad day when Kyra passes on, I had her full sister from an earlier litter but because of misdiagnosis of a vet she only lived until she was 7 passing away from renal failure My five range in age from 7 to 4 months so hope I have many years left with my beautiful lot.

a large male coolie would fit all the bill except for the weight - they would probably weigh about 26 kgs so not far off sorry notice that it has to be pedigree, coolies don't fit this category yet

Yeah I finally get to meet you :D

I have one crated at night because she destroys the house and barks otherwise, she loves her crate once she is in, settles down don't hear a peep out of her until I let her out the next morning. So the police officer is basically saying that it's better for her and safer for her to wander around the house and eat and destroys goodness knows what! and I don't get any sleep as she would bark as well! What The I'm sorry you had to go through this Josuki

my very boisterous playful coolie teenager and my griffon pup are the bestest of friends as maybe your boxer and minature poodle. the size difference would be almost equal, boxer may be a bit bigger. they are supervised at all times and Latte the coolie is crated at mealtime and at bedtime. she also has learned calm and that she doesn't get attention if she isn't sitting with all four paws on the ground, she has learned leave it as well. Get a crate, use it for a training experience for your dog. One thing I don't leave them unsupervised so separate them if no one is going to be around, Mocha stays in the house, Latte is outside with the other 3. Works well here and could at your place too.

Unfortunately this isn't how it works anymore. I believe many years ago, it wasn't uncommon for Vet clinics to have their own furnace but it's not that common anymore, though perhaps some of the larger facilities or shelters still might? I'm not sure it's legal to dump the bodies in the general waste area of the tip? I am sure there are Environmental and Protections Agency regulations regarding this? That's what my sister told me when I was upset because my parents wouldn't let me bury my beloved Poppy in their beachhouse backyard. Instead we planted a rosemary bush that is absolutely thriving even having been moved recently. That rosemary bush brings back happy memories to me of my gorgeous girl.

I've had to teach this to my coolie Latte as she is a wild girl. I won't acknowledge her until she is sitting and she now knows this. When she is sitting quietly I pat her calmly, if she bounces up again I ignore her. I do say calm to her as well in a soft drawn out voice. I find quietly stroking her face gets her focused on me and makes her sit there calmly and I talk to her in a very soft loving voice. She is gradually getting there, in fact doing very well for a boisterous young lady. Much easier to live with too than when I just let her bounce everywhere.

if they are not planning on showing the dog a male coolie would be perfect. Very people focused, very obedient, even my active female is fine with that much formal structured exercise although she does like the ball thrown to her every now and again whilst my boy that amount of exercise would be fine.

she can come here absolutely priceless photo!

i'm not exactly sure how much german shepherds and alaskans cost but I would think they would be far less than that from a reputable breeeder with a health guarantee. All points to put to your brother, with a shepherd x alaskan he would get none. And I must say that some of the analogies in this thread are fantastic, ones for me to remember when people say they want to buy a cross also meant to say if he wants a german shepherd a bit unusual looking why doesn't he look at a White Shepherd and enquire through rescue about one?

have a look at when the griffons are on I know my friend who shows golden retreivers also shows griffons but occassionally has a friend help out with the showing on them, so maybe they do clash not sure. Griffons are great dogs, I'm loving having my little fellow and we have our first show in a couple fo weeks. I'd imagine they would be great for kids as well, mocha just loves everyone. And best of all he isn't daunted by the other four dogs, two being golden retreivers that was a criteria for my show dog. The rough coat is apparently always going to beat a smooth coat I have been told but it's going to be so easy to prepare Mocha for the show ring - quick bath and he is ready! In Europe they are in separate classes.

Most Popular And Competitive Agility Breeds By Height
Ons replied to aussielover's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I've been told of a few griffons that do agility as well. One of the reasons I got Mocha, if he doesn't enjoy the show ring he can start agility with Latte. -
take him to dog shows let him see alaskans and german shepherds let him talk to the breeders if he doesn't ask questions you ask them with him standing there he might be persuaded then to get a pure bred
-
Onslow loves it, his whole body wriggles. I swear that he also goes and stands out in the rain so that when he comes in he knows that he is going to get a towel rub, loves them too

I have never been asked if my dogs are vacinated but it sounds like people on this beach actually care about dogs and enquiring - not a bad thing at all! As for beaches, when I had my maltese 16 years ago the vet told me to walk her on the beach before she had finished her vacinations for socialisation and said that the chances of her picking up anything from there was very minimum as the sand was constantly being blown away unlike grass that just stays there with the disease on it

Latte hasn't gone off her food now she is in season but she has changed into a totally different dog - instead of being a wild can't sit still girl she is quiet, sleeps alot and spends her day wanting cuddles.
-
I'd also be asking your breeder As a young pup I would say no but he is a newf and it may be he is just too hot inside, but I'm really not sure, so that's why I suggest contacting his breeder Otherwise crate him at night and hopefully apart from one or two toilet stops he should sleep through the night.
