Dear little man, such a sad and unexpected thing to happen. Thoughts are with you and your family. Take care. EM

Beautiful Puppy photo's Shell. How can you not love a puppy...... it goes too quickly unfortunately. EM

Definitely not trying to worry, and I also didn't realise you were with him that amount of time. I am away from home for 10 hours every day, so I certainly missed alot of what goes on. And like others have said, until it is frequent medication is not brought into it yet. Good luck with Tag.

I would suggest that Tag has other fits that you haven't seen. I had a little girl, she was elderly, nearly 13, maltese, who had what I called gentle fits, not very often, that I saw. My Vet also, initially didn't put her on anything until possibly 2 months before she passed away. They were getting more frequent at the time. I am so not saying this to worry you because Tag is so very young and you know his history. I only had Nina just shy of 2 years so didn't know her history and unfortunately after an early morning fit and then me going to work and coming home, she had passed away on me. It's something to think about, in that they may not be as irregular as you say. Ebony's Mum.

Large Dogs And Small Dogs Living Together?
Ebony's Mum replied to ash&elar's topic in General Dog Discussion
Ebony, Rotti girl, was on average, about 37kilo's, and Toby, foxy boy, about 7.5 kilo's when they first met at 2 years old. They were the best of mates and played constantly. Toby hung off her ears, and jaws, and she growled and played constantly with him. Never ever a problem. By the time they were both only 4 years old I had started fostering, and I probably had around 50 dogs in my home whilst Ebony was alive, and never ever an issue with her. She walked away from them if they growled at her. I work full time, so never any supervision during the day when they were all together. I was probably a very lucky mother. Ebony's Mum. PS: Toby snuggled into Ebony at bedtime. She was his gigantic "hot water bottle". -

Hi Nic, Thanks for sharing that beautiful story, together with gorgeous pictures of your family. Dear Ray was very lucky to stumble across you all, and he obviously new how treasured he was, finally. Oldies are very very special, and mostly we try and give their previous "owner" the benefit of the doubt about them landing in the pound, depending on their condition of course. But there is no excuse for Ray's owners. Their loss, your's and Ray's gain. Cherish his memory and hopefully Hannah will never forget him either. Ebony's Mum

Is it just me, or is anyone else not happy with what has happened with this dog? I am finding it hard to understand that they will now be bringing more dogs into the world because stupid people think it's a "good idea" not to desex and subsequently breed from them. I am guessing they are not Registered breeders? Very sad  EM

So what do you mean by "they are desperate"? Sorry but the whole thing sounds odd to me. EM

My Ebony was a big drooler, rest her blessed soul. She would sit at the back door whilst I prepared food, and the smells would just bring it on like a tap, and Toby, Foxy X would sit under her and would be covered in it, because they were both so focussed on the food they wouldn't move. EM

Women Injured And Animals Killed In Overnight Fires (caboolture Qld)
Ebony's Mum replied to Boronia's topic in In The News
So pleased for your healing steps Jed, and pray they continue in leaps and bounds, both physically and mentally. I was told this many, many years ago as a young girl, when I lost my first precious dog, and it's something that I have never forgotten: It's better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all. All your babies would be saying that I'm sure. Take care. EM -

Don't get on DOL much at the moment and have just tonight caught up with the tragedy that has happened to Jed and her babies. My thoughts and prayers to you and your family. And also prayers to all those that are helping in every which way. It's heartwarming to know that their is so much love and kindness when it's truly needed, well done to everyone. EM -
Unfortunately, dumping the oldies is very very common. I have here with me at the moment, a nearly 13 year old tiny pom x chi girl, a roughly 14 year old pom boy, a roughly 12 year old nearly blind chi x girl, a little maltese girl with attitude about to turn 12. All left at the pound for whatever reasons.. Have a look at Seniors Rescue. Very very sad, and they are so gorgeous and loving.... but best of all, tend to be quiet because they sleep all day.... terribly hard to look after NOT. EM
