You need to read what is written in the policy rather than what someone said to you. They will not be held liable for what someone told you. Go to their website and have a look at clause 7 under the 'What we will not pay for' and you will see that congnital/hereditary problems are not covered and they won't pay out if there is a claim. That quote is from thier website. I cant find what you are talking about. Can you attach a link? Regardles- $345 a year isnt that much if i suddenley needed an emergency op. I pay more for car insurance. But if you can help me get onto what you have been reading I then can follow it up.

Im back this is what I found 11. My pet's breed is known to suffer certain illnesses and conditions. Are these covered? Certain breeds of cats and dogs suffer from a high incidence of particular illnesses, and most pet insurers find that they cannot offer cover for them. Petcover does not include cover if your pet's breed is commonly known to suffer from Cardiovascular diseases, Ocular Diseases or Neurological Diseases, or the conditions of Hemophilia, Spina Bifida, Wobblers or Swimmer Puppies. You should research your breed's history to discover which of these illnesses and conditions may not be covered. Before I became a member I asked if the pallete(however its spelt) was covered and they said YES- Just what is mentioned isnt covered if its known through your breed. Petcover is good- but if unsure just ask as many questions as you can. Again good luck.

You should have a look at clause 7 in the list of exclusions on the Petcover insurance policy. It states that they DO NOT pay for hereditary conditions. I'll look through all my paper work now - but the lady I dealt with clearly stated that it was included. Ill find out and get back to you.

Hi there, I have insurance for my french bulldog with petcover. I went with them because you are insured for hereditary problems aswell- and at times she has trouble breathing and i just feel at ease knowing if I needed an emergency op for anything that im covered. There not too expensive I pay $345 for a year- not much for peace of mind. Why are you hesitant to get insurance? If your not sure look up online what is covered- and with petcover you can do like a quote on what you would pay. Hope im making sense- good luck.

Dont agree -sorry. I cant feed Paris the same thing twice, she would rather go without than eat the same thing twice. So therefor I mix up her meals with yoghurt or an egg or creamy sauce etc. She doesnt touch dog food. If no one believes me about feeding her the same thing twice I am happy to prove it. (Even if its with steak!) If anyone can tell me why im more than happy to hear it- just dont say because shes spoilt- because I know.

How To Get My Dogs To Love Me?
birgulparis replied to daniel83's topic in Training / Obedience / Dog Sports
I also believe play time helps form a bond- Are your dogs sensing something from you? When approaching your dogs do you want to play with them or are you just feeling you have to? -
What Type Of Yoghurt?
birgulparis replied to spoilt lab lives here's topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
I use the greek style yoghurt with meals and for a treat flavoured yoghurt(whatever I eat.) -
Paris doesnt paw or scratch at a door , she stares at you then her ears go back (so will look stressed) and walk to the door if not already at the door, but it helps to go to the same door every time. (If I dont let her out or miss the whole ear thing, she wees inside, but that very rarely hapens these days.) Dogs the ones i know, prefer grass- Whats with the whole leg thing (kicking behind them) once they've gone? it makes me laugh every time.

My nearly 6mth old loves to destroy pens and pencils. She manages to get the pieces into tiny tiny pieces. She has just destroyed the little knob thing thats attatched to the end of the cord to the brand new made to order timber venitions. Any paper she finds she will tear to piecesdragging it all around the room shes in. Sshe loves tearing at my father in laws rug, she has teared off the stitching down the side. When does teething finish????? But shes gentle with her toys.... Oh and she loves to chew on dvd covers (even the rented ones and the ones we borrow from friends) She seems to only chew my mother in laws slippers (shes on to her sixth pair.) Tries to chew the lock in my car tries to chew my seat belts in the car and seems to love only my feet?

Pet Food Survey - For Colledge ;)
birgulparis replied to Ittybitty_'s topic in Health / Nutrition / Grooming
The only raw meat i feed my girl is chicken mince. Otherwise i cook everything for her. Every friday she is feed fish-tuna or sardines etc Mostly its cooked mince. Ive given her kidneys and made a chicken breast risotto as well.. Every meal is served up with vegies or rice and i make her a sauce( usually from stock) or add some yoghurt or mix in a raw egg. I gave her some raw chicken wing before and she chewed it a few times then just swallowed it. That kinda freaked me out (not sure if thats normal) so shes not having bones again. She had roast lamb today and loved it she also loves her fruits. The only time she has eaten Divine dog food is when I wasnt home to cook as its easier to get who ever watches her to serve that. -
Isnt chocolate toxic to dogs?

Hi I am also in the middle of toilet training my pup, what i have learnt is that if she wees on the paper throughout the night it dries up, so she may be going you just cant tell. I have used those pads as well they are great just expensive to start with. With the paper put it every where even around her food/water as she is mow in a new environment she feels a little lost. You soon will notice she choses her own place. Start rewarding her with a treat an praise when she does go in the right places. take her out after waking up, after eating, and all those other times you have headr of a million times tell her "go toilet" and just wait till she has. My girl started wetting her bed and she still sometimes does which i now think was due to me having paper every where. I've had her for almost 3 weeks an she is slowing progressing. A couple of times she has ran straight for the door an sat (which she has been taught to do) and ive let her out an shes gone.. I always give her treat lots of praise an i cook her her fav meal. If you catch her going where you dont want bang your hand on the carpet loud so she will stop. then take her out an say good girl go toilet. Hope this all makes sense good luck keep us posted. was meant to say NOT having paper everywhere.

Is this all being mixed with dog dry food or instead of? I have a 10wk old pup and she is eating puppy dry food and ive been making up some gravy using powder gravy with chicken stock. some times I steam some carrots and broccilli and add that. Is that ok? If i give her eggs or yoghurt(is greek yoghurt ok?) do i mix that with the dry food or with raw meat? And how much of it?

Is it ok to give raw egg to a 10 wk old (as of today) maybe not the shell but maybe just the raw egg? She's been getting really bloated after drinking water is this normal?
