  1. Yes too both. That is correct, probably the most commonly used practice by people trying to mask the smell of drugs is by having the drugs stored in a container of coffee beans and mint leaves. Neither product work in masking the scent though
  2. if the dog is too restless in the down stay only partial points will be awarded. The schutzhund judged are pretty leniant with dog movement though. The only time a dog gets disqualified is if the dog gets up and walks away from the position it has been placed to stay in by more than 3 metres.
  3. Good work silvercons ;) , it is good to see how you have progressed with the training of Bella through this thread.
  4. unfortunantly not, i have had some very helpful leads from dolers on where it might be, but catching the people red handed using my gear is going to be difficult.
  5. I dont see a problem with the seminar, its no different to dog trainers who write books and then hold seminars discussing there training methods. The methods are the same for all e-collars, all e-collars have a form of continous and momentary stimunlation. Bart has been using e-collars of all brands and types with great success for well over 15 years now with his dogs competiting at international level. The seminars price is extremely reasonable and would be well worth going for anyone interested in learning about negative and positive stimulus, with and without the use of the e-collar.
  6. Barts main experience is from NVBK training and trialing, to my knowledge bart hasnt ever competed in Schutzhund. I havent been to one of his seminars myself but know people who have attended a seminar of his based on NVBK training. The people who attended the NVBK seminar seemed to enjoy themselves but said he was abit harsh with his criticism of a few dogs. I didnt know he was having a e-collar seminar in Aus till i read this thread, I would be interested in going but it looks like i will still be in the US when it is on.
  7. Illinois. yeh can ask him, i will pm you my email address so i remember.
  8. yah he has cut his hair, he still looks like a goof tho :D i shall tell him next month at the Schutzhund Nationals you ladies are making fun of his dvd
  9. lol i hope you didnt send that letter, that can be counted as blackmail.
  10. thanks kavik i was trying to find pictures to a Gappay one which had been advertised on there website but it looks like it has been taken down. to start off with you have the ball in full view to the dog, than slowly move the ball up untill it is completely concealed in the pocket of the vest...than you can randomly reward the dog by pulling a string that goes along the back of the vest and the ball drops out.
  11. the unnatural gait and dogs head positioning is due to to the handler training the dog to heel with a vest with a ball ejector attached.
  12. its hard to regulate any industry. I dont know any qualified dog trainers though the NDTF or Delta who use abusive training methods to gain control of training dogs, i do however know alot of unqualified/uncertified dog trainers who use these methods as they are not educated in proper training techniques. if there was some sort of National Dog Trainers Network set up to issue licences/permits to Certified dog trainers atleast it would prove that only certified people were out training dogs. these are only my ideas... at the moment i would be happy if to conduct a dog training business the person has to be a certified dog trainer (Certified in Australia)
  13. This is why the dog training industry needs to have a controlling governing body making sure people have the right accreditations to be classed as dog trainers. It might stop every Joe Bloe or Melissa Bloe who dont have the right qualifications and experience from ruining other people’s dogs, and giving the rest of the people in the industry a bad name. i suppose Andoria and ChrisB don’t care about that or the overall welfare of there dog...looks like they are going to keep on rolling on with Melissa. Clever Paws Training - We can train your dog without its paws touching the ground. ;)
  14. edited post due to receiving hundreds of abusive and threatening emails
  15. she cant be too concerned as her first response wasnt to goto the police...thats what any normal person would do if they felt there safety was in real and imminent danger. has she refunded your money yet as you obviously werent happy and didnt receive any success with her training methods?
  16. You informed the general public (the forum members) that you were concerned as threats of bodily harm had been made to the dog trainer(the third person) under Section 31 of the crimes act 1900 - whoever sent the emails has committed an offence. as this is a public forum and you posted that threats had been made against a third person, the police can investigate the matter whether they receive notification from the person who was actually threatend or not. in short....i hope the trainer has saved some of these threatening emails as they can be charged otherwise.
  17. This may still have to be done...it sounds like some of those emails are pretty nasty
  18. I noticed the trainer was from around the Auburn area, so heres the local police stations phone number 9646-8699...she needs to speak to someone from the e-crime division. I have also emailed this information off to the trainer and have notified Constable Fury from Aurburn police to expect a call some time today. i hope i havent gone too far?
  19. she is not a trained dog so the response will vairy accordingly to what she percieves to be suspicious behaviour by the persons entering the property.
  20. i dont know where this idiot got my email address from but he keeps sending me out spam emails on how to train my Belgian Malinois just for the people who dont know what we are talking about here is a copy of his latest email he sent out....
  21. eww why would you go and get an ugly tan looking rat dog Bullygirl have you been able to find someone who will help you train your pooch?
  22. this sounds like my type of pooch ;) , if you dont want him ill take him go see K9 Force as others have suggested he will have your pooch doing the washing up and mowing the lawn in no time ;)
  23. those arent my pups raising one malinois pup at a time is enough for me. the litter were bred by a friend in the netherlands. all pups were spoken for 8 months before they were born...
