  1. Sure does Erny, you will get your certificate in the mail once I receive your credit card details via PM. ;)
  2. ;) and I was going to let you RPL a course through JDTF. ;) The pup is cute and looks highly intelligent, I think he should be called Jeff Junior. ;) ;) I will stop hijacking your thread now :D Good luck with your little bundle of terror.
  3. I am qualified under JDTF - Jeff's Dog Training Federation. I am the only one in Australia who is certified under this wonderful organisation.
  4. You must have trained Angs in cantonese as I have seen no improvement! However I'll double any fees if you can train him to go to work for me! I trained Angus to clean up the kitchen and to empty the bin, apparently he got in trouble when you found out he emptied the bin. ;)
  5. No worries, just supply me with a return address so after I have trained the dogs they can drive the kids home. ;)
  6. 2 training sessions...you clearly aren’t trying hard enough! After one lesson my pups are house trained, obedience trained, protection trained and detection trained for 10 different odors. They can also commence odd jobs around the house.
  7. Congratulations Erny, he looks like trouble you better keep an eye on him.

  9. I dont like any equipment with the quick release snaps on them, I have seen many people grab on to them by mistake in situations where they have needed to grab a hold of the dog's collar/lead. I would go with a normal standard prong collar, especially if it is the first time you will be using one.
  10. Not through Dogquip there not . Why do you want a quick release prong?
  11. Dogquip also sell various dog training products and are an Australian based company and a preferred government supplier.
  12. Great point Rugerfly. Some dogs need to know there is a direct consequence for there actions.
  13. You need to ask your trainer these questions
  14. Midol, the answers you get will vary greatly and will not give you any real indication of the costs or training required. The 3 key factors are the Trainers, handlers and dogs ability; because of these variables you will not get a clear answer. You also need to take in to consideration training never ends.
  15. Thanks Tony, I will be getting on to Steve before i try fitting the collar again. Smart move laeral Your dog would have felt every stim and given a response, it is just that you were unable to pick up on it. When you see Steve next he will show you what level to have it set to. What type of e-collar are you using?
  16. Thanks Jeff. If there are no clubs....are there any small unofficial groups actively training? Not that I know of. You could send an email off to Dennis at Aachen Kennelshttp://www.aachenkennels.com/ he used to be very heavily involved in Schutzhund.
  17. I dare say Midol will be fine, I will be putting him in contact with appropriate trainers and breeders in QLD closer to the time he is ready to select a pup. EFS
  18. There are no Schutzhund clubs in Perth. If you are interested it would be better for you to visit NSW - Victoria or Queensland.
  19. It might be worth posting something in the Training / Obedience / Dog Sports section as more people view the topics in there. I know I forget to check out the threads in here sometimes. Have you tried contacting Craig Murray?
  20. You really need a trainer to guide you through the process.
  21. I agree with Tony. Slightly OT: But I am amazed at how often vets and trainers are recomending people give there dogs sedatives(ACP) to curb natural behaviour.
